The "Reputation" you see under your avatar should be a good representation as time goes on of your involvement in the forum. It is adjustable by admins but as of right now the routine works as follows:

1. Your rep points will increase by 1 every post you make.
2. If an admin clicks on your rep images it gives you 50 points
3. If a supermod clicks on your rep images it will give you 25 extra points
4. Any other member that clicks on your image will give you 10 points.

There are other ways to give rep points, through the pop up menus when you click on a user name in most places.

Right now the images go by halves, 2000 rep points equal full images. After the images are full the rep points continue to climb.

Depending on the popularity of this feature we might adjust the max points for full images up or down.

If you have given rep points to someone and decide you don't feel they are still deserving, you can take them away in your "My Account" section.

Have fun!

Each post earns 1 point to your repitoir as well does a peer to peer from others and so considering we're all at the bottom of the pole near equally.. and then for certain things like mentioned for writeups, or over exemplary things is left up to discretion to upper management ; )

You'l get there a lot of people like you !

Okay, was looking at my "reputation". I have, at this writing, 370 posts... but 455 reputation points. I know each post is 1 rep point... so how does one determine where the other points came from or what they are for?

That's the magic of it. The person who gave you rep knows. It is in their "my account" and if they get mad at you they can take it away.

Regular members can give you 10, supers can give you 25 and admins can give you 50.

SO IN THEORY you could have less than your post count if 10 regular members gave you 10 each then I made them admins and they took it away LOL.

The "like" routine I'm cooking up will add to the count too and you will be able to see who "liked" your post. Like is a couple months out just giving myself time.

Well, I suppose it would be in everyone's best interest to behave and not piss off the other members! LOL

I just wondered what my extra reps were for... was it a post I made or something else? No biggie, I suppose... I'm not here for the points anyway. :)

Extra points are when someone clicks on your little images under your online status. You can click on mine if you want to test LOL. I already clicked on yours, that's where 50 points came from. Don't make me mad!!!! :verymad
