Anything you do with a stock 5.0 block at 500HP it becomes a 2 piece so stay low. If I ever complete my first one (virtually stock except for headers) the second one I want to be about 300HP only,that way I can drive it for a while.
i beat on a stock bottom end 302 with the exception of .030 pistons and the use of arp bolts in my mustang. i have trick flow heads trick flow stage 3 cam (hyd. roller 574/595 lift 236/248 duration) 5500 rpm stall convert c4 auto shifting at 7500 rpm every weekend and shes going strong
