Well, i had to drain the system when i replaced the pump, i'm not especially happy with the results or how it went, i had so much air in the system, i had to buy a vacuum pump to stop the steering 'bouncing' - that was after running all other bleed techniques.

Short version, i will be doing this again when the weather warms up, just to have a fresh clean system, same with the transmission. This is why i'm asking, as whilst i did that last time, i was unsure it was the best place to do it from.
