I've no idea how/why, but taking these shrouds off was way harder than they should have been. When i finally got one off, i wiped my hands off and thought i'd re-used a shop towel with red grease on it. It wasn't grease :( ![]() I can't even remember why the lower bolt sheered anymore, needless to say i put the old ones back. ![]() Ratchet spanners really help. ![]() These was as tight as i could get them, there is no Allen insert at the top or flattened sides to get a spanner on to hold the piston while you tighten. ![]() The ride is so much better than the Monroe's that were on it - they couldn't have been more than 30k on them, but two of 4 didn't extend back on their own, 1 of the other two took two days to extend back and the last didn't feel smooth compressing it.
