I love days in the shop. When I'm not underground I get paid to make my stuff. Fabricated a new rear crossmember for project pieces. Ford really dropped the ball on the design of the factory crossmembers. Since I have already replaced 2 crossmembers I have elected to just go ahead and replace the remaining 2 stock ones. I'm thinking about designing my own transmission crossmember to help aid in header and exhaust clearance. I've seen where the collectors on tri-y headers fall dead center of the transmission crossmember. I'm thinking of adding a 4†tube for the exhaust to run through. Kinda like GM used to do back in the day.![]()
