Welcome back! The "plug" itself is identical, HOWEVER you will need to extend the wires because the 4 cyl. harness is shorter behind the plug... distance between the plug and the ECU is shorter than the V6 versions. Personally I didn't finish my 4cyl to V8 swap but I remember the plug being too far away to connect.. engine was from a 97 mountaineer (which I still have on a stand in my garage). It is a great opportunity to pin it for the engine side depending on what year engine and ECU you are using. I'm sure Mr. Fortune will help you when you get to the wiring stage!
