Working with Fiberglass is messy but not hard, time consuming, and very dusty from the sanding...  wear a good mask !    That shouldn't be a problem !

I found easiest... work with as flat a piece as possible; so take the bed side off, just a few torx bolts.
Make sure you start with a flat area, and get some of the resin the crack itself !
Reinforce on the inside.

Just my way !
