I was looking to mount inside due to not having it too exposed for being nicked or damaged, i'm not concerned at all about the cooling, it wouldn't even come close to being a hindrance there.
I did wonder about the grille bars 'aligning' the light though, they're not very deep so i'm hoping that'd be to a minimum.
