Have you installed a Mustang trans in a ranger? I was of the impression that the shifter location was way off.
It is off but all you have to is patch the old shifter hole and cut a new hole a few inches back. The location of the shifter on a t5 or tremmec is perfect in a ranger. Puts the shifter closer to you. When I did it I used a floor cover from an automatic ranger bolted right to the floor. I recommend using the t5 from an sn-95 mustang. The internals are stronger then previous years unless you can get the extra scratch for a tremmec or a t56.
