Another idea is smack the drum with a bfh till it breaks which will be easy to do with a cast drum. You could try grinding the anchor pins on the back of the backing plate. Just giving you some helpful ideas that have worked for me. But I know your trying to keep the cost down on this project but sometimes you just have bite to the bullet to keep the project moving forward
