Here is the frontend picture taken during Projector Headlight Mod.

Hack job, but limited room; two panels to cut to get room for the backside of the Projector Opening.
Picture from Engine Bay.

Here is the passenger side.

At least you get to see the amount of metal and plastic grille support that needs to be removed.
I am sure anyone could do a better cutting job butno one sees it after it all together.

I needed the headlights, didn't really want to do the Mod... asked around, if the money wasn't too high the shop didn't give me a warm feeling !
So I hacked them in !

My headlight were bouncing around, both had broken adjusters... how that happened not sure but so be it, lets get the job done.
I didn't know what i was doing, didn't have the right tools, but I have light !

Got the harnesses soldered and sealed.
Got the mirrors back on the truck.
I have the power cables for the Mirror Motor, the Directional, and the Heater, hanging in the cab on both sides fo the Truck; need to pull the seats and loosen the rug so I can fish some wires underneath the rug.

I will only be hooking up the Built-in Directionals for now, once the power windows are installed I will hook up all the other power.

Yesterday I got the WeatherTech LightGards installed on the Headlights and Parking lights.
Got a set six light set from Weather Tech for less than Amazon, including shipping.

Went on easy enough but you need to keep things wet, and watch for any crimping of the material.
It doesn't look like it is going to happen and then Wham it starts to work and falls in place.

Pulled the seats so I can run the wiring for the mirror directionals and heaters.
Going to use Gorilla Tape, the thick stuff, to hold the wiring in place, just trying to keep it out of the way of  bolts and seat brackets.

I didn't install any Puddle Lights in the Mirror Housing, tried my 16mm Bolt Lights in the Mirrors and the bottom of the door area and they didn't put out enough light, thinking on trying the V-LEDs Puddle Lights in the bottom of the door ($66+) not to sure if I really need them.

After the the wiring not sure what's up... maybe a new motor...  LoL !  Although I do need to insulate the roof.

I am attempting to add two more of the grille lights, not in the grille but in the Grille Shell that goes around the grille and headlights, to complete the five light set up of the larger truck and the Raptor Lights (Clearance Lighting).  It needs holes, wiring, and to be painted black; in fact the whole front of the truck is going black.
The headlights and side marker housing interiors are black, the grille is black, bumper is black, just the grille Shell left.

I was in the barn, looking at what I need to finish on the Ranger, after I feel better from the first Yearly Flu Shot that I got a reaction from.
Lucky, my sore throat lasted a couple days, achy and slight head ache for a day beyond that.
Didn't lose my smell or my taste, thinking not Covid BUT might be Flurona !  LoL !

Feeling better back to where I was... the barn, looking around.
Found a new vent for the Radio Bezel, going to paint it first, and I found a project I totally forgot about...  an  Auto Dim Mirror with Compass and Temp Gauge built in.

So Now I have two more things to do...

Just a point,  from comparing the '06 and the '03 Mirrors...

The do appear to give more rearward viewing, mostly in the areas where the housing differs from the previous years.

Seem brighter but could be the new mirror glass.

I left my wires too long inside the mirror so I got a slight clicking sound the increase when I hit bumps.
I have to take the door apart to pull on the wires a little, and leave some slack, hoping it will get rid of the clicking sound.

And anther point,  another project I start a while back got pulled out of the RANGER CABINET of MODS, my Dash Panel with the Speed-O in the middle and no tach, red lettering with some blue.

I've added LED Strip Lights to the inside of the Housing, ringed the insides of the housing, next picture !

No lighting test yet, will do that before the install, may need adjustments so some testing of light levels and I don't want the glare points you get with LED Bulb replacements.

I'm thinking, adding a Tach to the left side of the Dash by the Pillar.

Who knows what's next.

Is your cluster a native no tach cluster?

The one in my truck has a Tach, the one going in No it does not  !

From what I can tell there are only  a couple of wires to be corrected and it should work.

The RED OEM Dash Panel  is one of two I am thinking on.

I finally got a way to mount the outer most Clearance Light to the Truck Grille Shell !

Last night I took some two pieces of 1/2" PVC Pipe,  cut to 6" long, some 3/32" Fiber washers, and some JB Weld, sanded all the parts with 80 grit paper and JB Welded the fiber washers to the ends of the 1/2" PVC, after squaring the ends of the Pipe.
Checked  this AM and the JB Weld had set good and solid, now to rough sand the ends, cut the 6" length to fit the sides of the Grille Shell,  JB Weld in place, and then some fiber glass and very small amount of Bondo.

Working on the cutting the PVC to fit the shape of the side of the Gille Shell under and to the outsides of both headlights.   Luckily there will be only one cut per side and then some fine sanding.   I don't need to get the fitment perfect, just close enough for the fiberglass and Bondo to finish up.

The '06 Mirrors again, I had the windows down today, 76 degrees, the wind was causing a little more noise than I expected, at least more than the '03 Mirrors.
As I said, it seems there is more rearward viewing area... so far so good.

Yes I have one, came out of a '97 2x, Fleet Truck, as with a lot of my projects I have had the parts for a while.

I will be using the gauges from the '03 Dash, from what I have for info they are the same units.

You can see in the picture the LED Strip around the outer wall of the housing, not sure if I will use any of the OEM Light positions , need to test that, but I will be using the same wiring to light up the LEDs.

I will have to look up the list of changes I need to make in the wiring but there isn't a lot but I'm thinking of replacing the OEM idiot lights with some newer LEDs, but again keeping the same wiring.

My Grille Lights, I'm attempting to contour the PVC pipe to fit the contour of the Grille Shell. not sure how to cut the pipe with a slight curve.  (No pics yet).

Thinking Cut Off Grinder, maybe a thin Hack Saw, even one of the wood working Coping Saws with a fine blade.

I have the fiber glass and some thinner fiber glass cloth, just have to get started.

Once finished I want to paint the Shell black, to get a full blacked out front end.

When I take the Seats BACK OUT, I need to do the following:

1) Directionals -  Wire hook up for the mirrors.
Wire is run, just waiting for the soldering job.

2) Add additional wires for the Back-Rack Directional Lights.
Added Amber LED Marker Lights that will be directionals.
Wires run to the lights but not hooked up to the main directional wires under the Cab.

3) Hook up power to the OHC.
Ran wiring from the OHC to the rear of the Driver's Side Cab but left them hanging.
My Amateur VHF/UHF Radio needs power and the Remote Control Head needs to be hooked up.
Add power to the Switch Panel I added.
Make sure the new LED Light Panels in the OHC are working; may need a dimmer too.

4) Run a power wire to the Center Console Cup Holders and to two new power port in the Console rear.
I added RED LEDs to the Cup Holders but didn't wire them, had to add a dimmer circuit to reduce the light output, very bright.
I wanted additional 12V Power Port and USB Charging Port.

 5) Add new Arm Rest to the Console.  OEM Arn Rest is too high.
I'm up in the air on this one, I have an FX4 BLACK Center Console, Arm Rest and Steel Arm Rest Support.   I was thinking just sell the Ford OEM Console and get a Tuffy Brand Center Console (a little shorter in height) or leave the OEM Arm Rest off and make a new arm rest for the lid.

6) Add in two short lengths of LED Strip Lights under the dash for interior lights, thinking RED, again with a dimmer circuit.
These like standard interior lights will operate with the doors and the Thumbwheel on the dash, if I can ever determine what is wrong with the Thumbwheel.
I have the strip lights and the dimmer already but thinking an override switch for two level lighting.

7) While I am in the Cab with all the room, no seats, I might pull the radio and see what I need to do to move It out some.
It is set in about 3/4", I don't get the whole picture when I look at It quickly.
The rear-view camera picture sucks too, so hoping moving the radio outward will help there too.

8) Almost forgot, mount and wire the New Rearview Mirror.
    Auto Dim, Temp, and Compass.
Not sure what the wiring will require, since the cab will be pulled apart I might as well just get the wiring done.

The "wiring list" is after the Marker Grille Lights are completed, just the side ones left to do.
I cut the Light Pods, contoured to the Grille Shell corners, a little rough but once they are JB Welded to the shell and fiberglassed in place, I'm thinking no one will know if I cut them to fit or not.
I'll get pictures before I mount the Pods to the shell and then when finished, maybe in-between too.

The new Dash system is the last thing for the cab.   I think I have all the parts but need to refine the wiring and LED lighting and determine IF the gauges in the '03 will work in the '95-'97 Dash Panel.

The LIST goes on and on !
The Ranger Mod Cabinet is getting some relief as I do the Mods to the truck, I need to start looking for someone to do an engine swap for me, I don't want the hassle.  Little mods are easy enough but a 5.0L /AOD Swap will need time and effort.
I will be in a bind out here in SoCal, engine swaps are frowned upon, even if you do it by the book, it is a major hassle you need to go through, and then you can't be sure it will get approved... so I'm thinking, swap and get an emissions test where ever I can.

Sorry for getting to long winded... AGAIN !
