Yes, sort of. In a short cab they do not line up 100% with the dimples, as a matter of fact the drivers rear dimple needs a spacer and cannot be used on location if you align it to the front dimples. I ended up using rivet nuts for all of them and a spacer for the rear 2... and I had to slot the magnesium to slide it back enough so the hump in the bottom of the console matched the hump in the floor. The short cab was never produced with a short console to the best of my knowledge.
Thats interesting... I assumed (!?!) it fit when I took a look, I have never attached mine it just sits between the seat, never had to, yet !

The Rear Spacers, how much spacer did you use ?

I don't remember. One of them is on a slant! So your console just flops around?

If I were going to do it AGAIN which I do have an extra console in the garage, dark gray for my 5.0 interior...

I would pre assemble the console and with the carpet out, put 4 screws through the magnesium holes in the bracket after grinding pointy ends on the screws (downward, nut on both sides) and literally scratch the locations in to the metal.

If I get real ambitious I might create a template. Was going to on the first one but after having to slot the bracket I had no idea where the holes really should have been.

I measured mine today, the top of the console of course slants toward the back, at its closest point it is almost exactly 7.75 inches from the farthest back part of the console to inside the cove. With the arm rest on I get a little over 5.5 from back of arm rest to the outside of the cove (measuring straight horizontally).

That all being said, my current sub box will fit with the notch! I have to notch it though. I'll wait till I take the carpet out AGAIN and put the darker carpet I want in. The box even with the notch will need to be installed with one of the seats out.

Jim,

Notching the box will may let you mount the box within the given space of the Console/back panel but keep in mind, you will need room for the speaker protection screen too.
I actually didn't think of that until the guy in the shop I am going to said something to me about it.

You want a clear space between the Speaker Screen and the end of the console by a couple of inches.
Everyone and Every Install is different !

I hope you get it cut and installed.

the front part of the console in my BII is held down in the front with self tapping metal roof screws :)
The big aluminum bracket is bolted down with through bolts....right to the floor. Works great!
Don't forget you also need some clearance for the arm rest to go back when its in the up position.
I have a small collection of these consoles, tan, brown, grey, dark grey and black...

Good Point, wasn't thinking in that direction, thanks !

The one in my Ranger is Black, I removed the Pad because it was too high, and I have a grey one from an Explorer , a Sport Console that has a Bag for the Compartment area.An Interesting concept.

Thinking of either building one out of aluminum sheet, or maybe looking at the metal ones that Jeeps are using, can't remember the name on 'um !

the bag consoles are cooooooool I have always wanted one
The kids (stepsons) have the bag ones intheir daily driver explorers
Also we have been swapping the old steering wheels out for the 05-06 style, really updates the look and feel of the interior

The Jeep consoles are made by Tuffy, the Tuffy security console is not just for Jeeps :)

My Bag Console has the removable bottom trimmed back because I was going to move it back against the rear wall of the cab.
I was looking for a replacement bottom piece so I could sell it... IF you happen to know someone that wants one.

I always thought some bags could be setup for different uses, get another one and use it as a Camera Bag, go on a trip and flip the bags.

YES !  Tuffy, I need to look into those before I attempt to make a mess building a center console.   I want a shorty design so the floor between the Console and the Cubby Area is clear for one of the Automatic Channel Lock Shifter.

The reference of Jeeps for the Tuffy is because I am getting to old to remember all of these names, easier to reference the use. LoL !

I did purchase an Tuffy Overhead Console, but that too will be sold, too big and straight for the Ranger.

Got the first pictures of the new headlights:
Housings are cut, stripped, and painted.

Shrouds, were chrome, painted the same as the Housings, little holes in the sides are for the Angle Eyes, Switchbacks.
The angle eyes will only work with the on position gf the ignition, bright for day light and with the parking lights, dimmer for the night with headlights.
The Rings will not be connected to the directional.

The directional will be small projector LEDs and a strip in the center of the LED Fog Lights and the side Marker Lights with the Mod will flash alternating with the other lights.   I'm changing the Side Markers to Clear with Black background, still thinking about keeping the amber lenses.

Don't have a picture of the Projector Parking light bulbs !

The Fog Lights fit my 4x Fabrication Bumper.

That's all for now, will have more pictures as they arrive from the Conversion Specialist !

Born and bread... BOSTON !

At my age I am more of a fair weather sports fan, didn't even watch the Super Bowl, no sense without the Key Players !
I was hoping the Patriots would make a Guest Appearance but that didn't happen either, LoL !

The first two projects aren't completely done but well in progress and the third had been put on paper, somewhat !
Local Shop open to the idea.
Transmission Shop responded
Axle shop ready
Waiting to hear from Advanced Adapters, we've talked but no final pricing.
Frame Shop can make what I want I just need all the other shops on board before ordering.
Suspension/Lift, there are a lot out there, waiting to hear on two others before deciding on a suspension.
My biggest problem will be getting an emissions inspection sticker for my combo; something I had better get a handle on before proceeding too far.

A couple more Photos of the Projector headlight Mod.
Projectors in place with Hallos/.

All Sealed up !

Both Housings, Projectors in place !

Here's the light pattern... not sure if this is one or both of them.  Probably only one, will have to wait until we get them installed.

Anyone ever put a UV Clear Sun Screen on their Headlights ?
I added the UV Screen on my old head light, no difference that I could notice until I moved to SoCal, the sheet went dark very quickly.
The new UV Screening is different stuff, and a local Shop claims lifetime warranty, and it is the same screening used on the Windshields !
I will verify, to make sure, that the headlight work when installed in the truck then off to VIP Sun Screening.

Any comment please let me know what you think, good or bad.
This is what I was send for the Company, but I can't find them on the Web.
We will comment on Quality once I see and test out the product.

have installed #m clear bra on headlights a number of times....to protect them from stone chips
It works awesome!
Some headlights can be quite expensive, so protecting them is a good idea.......

Audio system, I have all the parts except the Speaker Baffles for the 6.75" Front Mid Range Speakers.
A set of two was suppose to be here yesterday with eh Woofer Grille, but not !

I called the Audio Shop for an install date and to find out if he had any of thee baffles, left a message.

Headlights almost done, audio next, then the Fogs and LED Ligth Bar, then start ordering parts for the big one... if it comes true !

Needed things done faster than I am getting to them so I dropped '03 RED-EDGE off a the Audio Shop.
Was told two days but maybe not ready to pickup Friday night, depending on how things go, I'm thinking Saturday morning; get-up early, 6 AM, breakfast out with the wife at The Broken Yoke, pickup '03 RED-EDGE... LISTEN TO THE NEW TUNES.
She will be setup for S-XM but still need to sign up and setup a Vehicle/House Account. (Can't wait for the 50's, 60's and 70's tunes)

The Projectors hit a snag, got them home and the both Headlight Halos were off center.  Call the installer, he claims USPS Damage... sent them back... $$$, waiting to hear if everything else is ok !  Putting in a claim at USPS.
Once the Truck is back in the Barn, and the Headlights are back  from where ever they will be, two projects almost completed.
Mirrors next, then switching to powered Windows, including the hookup for the Mirrors.

Got my truck back, I was hoping it would have been all setup other than the balancing of the speakers, which the installed did a preset on the speaker setup... he said, "Do not change the Preset #1, that has been setup with a balance measuring tool.  I'm not an audiophile so I may have that Tool's name wrong but he put it approximately in the center of the cab and adjusted the radio, then saved it.  He move the meter toe the driver's seat on top of a box, and got what he said was good reading.
I sat in the vehicle, I could hear all of the kids speakers and the teeters, and the BASS, the rear fillers weren't there to me... but I'm losing my hearing anyway so it should be fine.
The overall music sounds great; all I need to do it program my Stations for regular Broadcasting.

The installer also mentioned a newer App and according to him give better sounding music, it is called "Tidal", it is what he uses.
I have XM, just need to set it up, another thing I was hoping would have been done, but !

Ltr

This is the Head Unit, with modified Bezel !
I think I will have to pull it out and paint the Air Vent.
I'm thinking silver of some sort... may need to work on the color, maybe FX4 Silver.

The Sub Enclosure, finished with a mounting point for the 8" Woofer in the 10" Box and covered in felt I had laying around.

Time will tell how things will turn out, I will take some time today to play with the programing... didn't radio come all programed at one time !  LoL !

This one has a book and a half to read about setup !

wicked cool!!!
Painting the air vent silver should be interesting, so many knooks and crannies to get the paint into........then with all those moving parts the paint may or may not hold
The bezel looks awesome!! Alpine makes wicked good head units, sub came out really nice! I hope all those wires are buried?
shes coming together!

The pictures were taken by the Shop that installed the system.
The head unit was a suggestion by a friend/LA Sho Owner, he gave it to me at cost, gotta buy it, and he said it is a great unit for Apple Car Play; we will see !

The Head Unit has so many features, I had my grand daughters B-Day Party yesterday, took most of the day, so today is when I get the book out and start to setup the system.    Not too sure on the XM but I will call them to see.
Then comes the station setup, iPhone setup, and a look at the new Music Streaming App, Tidal !
After my XM Trial may use Tidal to see how that works out !

Painting the Air Vents,  I want to remove the Vent and take it apart as much as possible.
Maybe paint just the front section, I need to look at how far it will come apart and how much trouble there will be, thinking about leaving the Up/Down Wheels Black if possible.
May not be the easiest thing to do but IF I can do it it should look better than all black.

One thing, a question for anyone who has done the Double Din Head Units, mine seems to be mounted "IN" from the edge of the bezel a little too much, is that normal or is there an adjustment that I can deal with ?

Also, need to adjust the two clear buttons on either side of the Unit, at night they are brighter than I want, hoping they also can have a color change too, E4 Red would be a good color !

System sound good, still need to active S-XM.
Waiting for the Headlight to get here AGAIN !
Took the handles off the doors to start the Mirror Swap Project, haven't gotten any further.
After this Sh!t blow over with the Beer Virus I will take the truck back to the Audio Shop to have all the Power Windows and the Powered Mirrors swapped.
Hoping all the parts will be usable and work; it would be good to have a fix for the Window Slant Problem, still hoping to discover something... !

SiriusXM installed, so far doesn't sound bad, but I need a lower tone overall.
The small 8" sub sound good I think it gives good sound.
Overall a nice job and a good sound.

Still waiting for the headlights, not much to say here !

I gotta say I was a little dissapointed to read about the headlights not holding up to shipping?
I mean they gotta hold up to some serious abuse to hang out on the front of a truck, being shipped in a box is nothing like what they would see on the front of an off road truck!
I hope he comes through for you this time! glad the stereo sounds good :)

Many moons ago I worked at UPS where I was forced to join the Teamsters (useless organization). When a package is taken in it is usually picked up with care and loaded in a delivery truck at the end of the day. The package was then thrown onto a conveyor where it got scanned and routed to different trailers.  In those trailers the packages were thrown around to maximize space and time.

After shipment when things started getting hectic in the pre-load packages would be thrown on the conveyor in the feed trailer.  They would go down the sort line the loader opposite of a backed up loader would help out by knocking the backed up guy's packagers off the convey where they could fall to the floor. In the last few minutes before the driver shows up other pre-loaders would help by throwing packages in the truck while an overwhelmed pre-loader attempted to sort it out.

To put things in another perspective. Your 1 foot square box that has your lights weighs 2.5 lbs and a 6"x4"x3" box of stainless washers that weighs 11 pounds gets thrown on top of your package. Which package is going to sustain damage?

Me too, I didn't know what to say or say yet !
I told him to double check all the lights and functions, which he has said he did, and use some JB weld on the Halos, hoping it will hold things in place when I do my light off-roading.
He said he did the wire as usual, I took one of the headlights and shook it and the Halo slide... to me not secured well enough !

What we don't know about package handling would make us sick to think.   I have received numerous boxes with bent up sides... I assume from heavier boxes on top.   I was told once they are stacked according to addresses not what's in them.   BS, BS, BS !

And the Union thing, most union are to me, a scam from more powerful groups of people that are looking for legalized pay-offs !
The one and only Union I worked for was useless, they sided with the company when it came time for raises and the new contract.
Useless plus, all they wanted to do was raise the dues !
