Does anyone have solid or drawing info on the actual size an bolt locations for the 5.0 motors? Would be nice to have a solid model of the expo fitted 5.0, would clear up many guesses and help with designs of just about all accessories. I'm sure someone at ford has a STL or X_T file laying around.

1. Are the surfaces the motor mounts bolt to parallel to the plane of the oil pan mount surface? (are they the same level or offset)

2. Does anyone have the actual number for the spread of the motor mount holes right to left?

3. Where are the motor mount holes actually located in reference to the trans mount surface?

4. Distance between crank and cam bores?

5. Deck height relative to crank?

Who would I talk to, I'm sure this is not proprietary info these blocks have been around for years.

Hmmmm they do have to make the sand mold.... That would do it for size but would not have the machined hole locations.

I'm going to work on a head with a broken screw (I have a hole popper EDM at work) for a guy I bought some exhaust parts from (I am going somewhere with this). He just sliced up an expo and still has the engine cradle with the motor mounts sticking up.

It will be ultra easy to determine the exact spread of the studs and the height from the frame, I also have access to a small portable cmm arm. I think we badly need more mount plate options and different options for other mount types especially for the coil spring 2wd crowd. There is no concise definitive numbers ANYWHERE. People just get 4.0 mounts (which some have the same number as the 2.5 mounts) which is confusing... a set of "Ricks Plates" which I own 2 sets neither lined up what I consider perfectly and slap it in grinding and hammering.

*** END OF RANT LOL ***

Build some engine mounts!! Its not that hard LOL I do it the old hang the engine in there and get all the angles right, then mock up with cardboard/wood/clay, etc....

Looking forward to see what you come up with.
