|Oh the joys of being young and dumb...today, since I was pouring rain here in Texas i figured it would be a good idea to go mudding. Well, I got stuck. In what seemed like a pond. The water was up to my doors, and it was still raining and so the water started creeping ever higher as time went by. I called everyone I knew and then my friends dad came and pulled me out, but not after having to go back to my house in his truck to get more chains because the 5 he brought didn't reach to the road. Well, while I was in the "lake" I read online on an offroad forum that if you're stuck in water you want to continuously give it gas so that water doesn't flow backwards through the exhaust into your engine, so that's what i did for the 45 minutes i waited for help. I get home after I'm pulled out and my truck seemed fine except for the standing water in my floorboard. I check my oil to see if water made it's way into the engine and sure enough it did. I went to Walmart and bought 3 oil jugs and 3 filters, so tomorrow I'm going to change it, let it idle for 15ish minutes, turn it off to cool, and repeat the process until im out of jugs. Now, I've gotta see if my headgasket is blown because I am unsure if it's water from my moment of stupidity or coolant/water. Here's a video for yalls enjoyment lol.
EDIT: I figured I'd post it here because, again, I need help.

knowing when to quit is wisdom, being able to quit is courage.
If at first you don't succeed, grab a beer and finish tomorrow.
