I meant a 2000 single cab. I'll edit but there will be a "point" to this later.

My last 2000 Ranger Extd Cab when I installed seats out of an Explorer Sport into my Ranger they were a direct swap.

OK this looks like good news. Below are a ranger 60/40 passenger seat from single cab and a ranger bucket from an extended cab.

Looks to me like it is a 4 bolt swap, pull one track off put the other on.

Hope the driver side is as easy.

The ex cab:

Single cab

IIRC a 98 or 99 Sport.

That's funny the bolts were even smaller in the expo the seats pictured came out of.

most of the seats can swap brackets, 4ea 10mm bolts and you are good. Don't forget you will need to swap over the seat belt bracket also.......

Now if you want to put powered explorer seats into a ranger that's a whole different ball game.....the ranger and explorer sport have slider brackets which allow access to the back seat, the powered 4 door explorer seats do not

Jim, I did it over 10 years ago so it may have been from a 87 or 86 Explorer Sport, the memory is not what it used to be.

When I attempted the Explorer Leather Seat install in my 2003 Std Cab, short bed, I found the Ex Seats fit but the rear mounting bolts needed a little mod... !

Before I went any further I sat in the seats and found them to be too big for Truck; leg room and the height weren't right, I'm 6 foot 2, long legs and need every bit of space I had !

I removed them and lucked out, found some FX4 seats that I swapped for and found a Black Console to boot.

The FX4 Seat would work but they came out of an Ext Cab and the Seat Tracks were a little too long, i.e. Explorer Seats, so all I had to do is unbolt my Std Cab Tracks from my 60/40 Seat and the tracks bolted directly on the FX4 Seats... they were a direct bolted in after that.

This may not help much but what I am trying to say is the Tracks unbolt and swap with other Ranger Tracks, but I never found that they would swap with an explorer Seat...  the power gets in the way !

It can be done but it isn't quite as easy as some places make it seem.

I have about half a write up done and will add more pics when I do the second seat now that I know what I'm doing LOL.

Here is a confirmed extended cab ranger bucket seat in a single cab:

My explorer limited seats were power when I got them and my manual tracks off my 60/40 seats were a direct bolt on switchover. I just unhooked and got rid if the power stuff but left all the switches so it would still look pretty.

I didn't say they would fit, just some adjustment were needed to the rear mounting bolt holes in the Seat tracks... !

Not sure about the height with Single Cab Tracks, never tried that but it may have worked for me... BUT !

The main problem for me was the leg room with Explorer Tracks, just not enough for comfort... put in more comfortable seats and lose leg room... NOT !

Luck to all on your swaps.

I have 2 passenger side seats in my truck. The drivers side seat was in bad shape on my 94 and the “parts truck” 97 wasn’t much better, but both passenger seats were in great condition. I simply transferred the drivers side seat rails to the 97 passenger seat. I did have to use longer bolts on the backside where the brackets mount to the cab floor with a large nut (maybe 3/4 thick) as a spacer between bracket and cab floor so seat back would have the right pitch for me. Only “bad” thing about doing this is that the seat back release lever is on the inside but I rarely need to mess with that. Not room for much behind seat / cab  besides a jacket anyhow. Need to build a console. For now I have the stock armrest/storage bin on floor between the seats

Jim, when I did the Explorer Sport seat swap I just bolted the Explorer seats right into my Ranger. I removed the broken 60/40 seat & bolted in the Explorer bucket seats & shorty console.

Standard Cabs Rangers do not except the Explorer Seat so easily.

What condition was the back of the Driver's seat ?
Not sure if the '94 will fit the '97, but the seat back do interchange.
I reused my '03 Driver's Side Seat Back on my '02 FX4 Buckets.

Also, you got the Driver's Side Seat Pan swapped over I see.

I don't have to worry about that being 5' 5-1/2" works for me.

I have a 15 year old son much taller than me.

I tried the Ex-Seats in the std. cab Ranger and as stated way too tight for 6'2".
I lucked out, another Ranger Guy wanted leather power Ex seats and just happen to have FX4 buckets in his truck, SWAP TIME !
I got a great set of seats out of the deal and they fit me and the truck better.

Wonder how Ex Seats would fit in a BII ?

I believe the B2 was the exact same cab inside. I have recently looked in one just out of curiosity, close your eyes and you are in a Ranger.

My B2 has no cab behind me so the 4 door explorer seats I can put waaaaaay back. Plus the 88 dash is much much smaller then the 89+ style
I was 5'-10 or so but now turning 46 tomorrow, I feel like Im shrinking! LMAO
I have two stepsons, both now around 30 years young they are dang near 6'0 and my son is 9 shooting up like a rocket, he will be taller then me in no time I am sure of it

In the B2 I run 01 Eddie Bauer heated power leather seats since 2001 or so? I even put the heater circuit fuses in my 93 power distribution box
The rear bolts and seatbelt retainer bolt are in the stock B2 location.
For the front I made some simple brackets that bolt to the seat and to the floor in stock location.

I am converting the passenger seat back to manual slider now that I am installing a Zuki back seat (fold n tumble). This is so I can cart 3 kids around and use the BII to commute again.
It has been a long journey to get here the 35" spare tire used to sit where the kids now go and I need space for a dog. Finally have the spare on the back and a smaller then stock rear B2 seat so shes a commuter again!
Mud season is coming.

So the fitment is more along the lines of the Extended Cab ?

Sounds good !
