I haven't been on T.R.S. in at least 5 years. I forgot i was a member there.

The email i got.

stateranger,

As the production of the new 2019 Ford Ranger approaches, I have been getting contacted by Ford looking for some Ford Ranger stories. I will post their message at the end of this email. Please post your story at:

https://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178480  (What is your Ford Ranger Story) DO NOT email it to me.

In addition, they are also looking for Ford Ranger owners (TRS members) that work at the Michigan Assembly Plant. I think what they're really looking for is TRS members (and Ranger drivers) that will be working at the Ford Ranger assembly plant. If you're a TRS member and Ford Ranger driver that will be working at the Ford Ranger assembly plant, or you work for Ford in Michigan, please email me DIRECTLY.

Also, if you live within 1-2 hours of Dearborn Michigan, please visit this thread about a possible gathering:

https://www.therangerstation.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1639463#post1639463 (Calling ALL Michigan Members)

Thank you,

Jim Oaks
TheRangerStation.com

Here is the Ford email:

"Hello! I work in the Ford PR dept in Dearborn. As I contribute to media stories and work with outlets to promote Ford products, the upcoming Ranger is a hot topic in their circles.

Ideally, I would love to speak with some of the biggest Ranger fans out there to help tell their third-party stories to the media. Why they love Ranger? How are they using it? What do they think of the one on the way?

I know Jim Oaks and friends got to attend the reveal at the Detroit Auto Show - but I was running around a bit and never got to meet or thank them. They of course could be excellent contacts but I defer to your judgement here as to how to proceed.

Thank you and thank you all for being such huge fans of Ranger!

Sam Locricchio"

Nope I didn't get one. Maybe it will take as long as the welcome thread did.

I got one yesterday or the day before.

Jim needs head count and this is an attempt to get in Ford's good graces, not that I blame him, he may have been asked to see the new Ranger already.

I haven't been to the Site in a while and I don't live anywhere near the area he want anyway, but good promotion either way !
