The black paul copy is interesting. Remember the old hondo 2's? Cheap knock offs of the les pauls and epiphones.

Before there were hondo 2's there were... Hondo's. This is an original hondo. The body is mahogany with a mahogany front with bindings. Back when they were trying to copy a real paul. It is every bit as heavy as a paul, I played it before I bought it off the guy and it sang like a bird. The hardware is heavy duty I have never seen anything exactly like it. That guitar is about 45 years old and might have been one of the prototypes made in texas while they were bonding with samick. Came with dimarzios but I have a bill lawrence for the bridge and a dean anniversary for the neck trust me it will sound better.

It would only take me a month to finish everything but the EVH which still needs drilled.

Yeah, one of my brothers-in-law had a Hondo back in the 1980's. It was actually a pretty good guitar, after I spent a few hours working on it.

Finally found pics of the Dean EVO I hacked. Neck is glued in, stainless jumbo frets, anniversary pickups, tone pros bridge and tail, orange drop caps, bone nut custom slotted by $100 in slot files LOL. I probably have realistically $450 in cash and about 40 hours of work and a permanent scar on one of my fingers because stainless frets are SHARP.
