The reply arrived to my inbox.  However, the link to the thread post in the email looks like this:

Click here to go to the new post

So it isn't "clickable"... I have to copy and paste beginning with https://...

That isn't a major issue as I can do that.  The main thing was not getting the notification to start with.  I see that the little box is remaining checked for the notifications.  Progress!

I think the "issue" is that outlook doesn't like html code in the message.

If you just "Watch" the forum you get a different email that actually has the post.

I am working blind because the mails I get are not showing what you see!

This is the mail I get -

That seems to be the case, however, I get HTML code in messages all the time.  This all seemed to change when Jim moved to a third party provider.
Here is a screen shot of the last email I got:

Notice that two of the links are active, but the one to the actual post is not.

So the middle link is active but none of the html code should show at all!  Need to find out why this is.

I got the same e mail as Michael with the same jibberish. If I click on the first highlighted link it puts me to the Ford-Ranger.com logo, the second highlighted link puts me to page one of the "what did you do to your Ranger today" thread, & the third highlighted link puts me to a page on the forum asking if I want to unsubscribe to pm e mails, admin e mails, or all notification e mails.

Yes - everyone will get the same message in reponse to ticking the notify box - I am trying to find out why the email is not being delivered in HTML format - probably something in the depths of the new Logicweb server setup.

Bear with me as I explore the problem.

I am getting a "data too long" in post text from your two last messages - are you trying to paste a picture? Copy & paste results in a HUGE file called a BLOB!

Probably got the BLOB stuck in its throat!

I will look more into it tomorrow - it's bedtime now.

Copy/Paste isn't working correctly right now.  That should have been the entire text of the message plus a comment from me.  Paste stopped at the beginning of the POST link.

Take your time, Chris.  I used to be a programmer and I still support my company's website, so I know issues like this can be hard to resolve.  Get some sleep!

Great job!  Everything looks good, the links work and the banner is at the top.  I appreciate you, Chris!  You should take the day off!

So, I haven't posted in this thread in close to a year, and as I see, nobody else has either.

Today I decided to fix a noisy clock spring.  You know the kind, it goes "click, click" as you turn the wheel.  It was a pretty simple repair, nothing noteworthy other than I used some silicone spray around the steering shaft and that seems to have done the trick.  The other thing I did was rework my OHC.  The other morning when I started off to work, the display was blank, but a couple of light taps on the side woke it back up.  I pulled it down and had a look... didn't see any bad connections (all are soldered).  So, I went to my garage attic "parts warehouse" and grabbed my box of spare OHC stuff.  I replaced basically the entire OHC, save for the custom dome and map light setup.  The base I used was a lighter gray and matched better with my interior and the insert is now just the OEM black plastic instead of the carbon fiber one I've had up there for years.  It was looking pretty worn, so I thought it was high time to move on from carbon fiber, since that was the only remaining piece with it.  While I had it down, I took the time to  drill a perfectly sized hole to install the microphone for my Pioneer head unit.  Now it looks almost OEM rather than a puff ball of black foam clipped to the front of the headliner.  MUCH better!  (I would post a pic of it, but the system is saying HTTP error 500, so nope)

Last weekend, I did a 4-corner brake job, installed some front brake dust shields I had sandblasted and painted, repacked front wheel bearings, replaced the right rear caliper, replaced all the pads then flushed out all the old fluid and replaced with clean Prestone DOT4 and rotated the tires.

Post a reply to my last message.  Just a one-liner will do.  Come on... I dare you!  :frd
