Shipped out the parts for the Projector Conversion.
Parts should be there in 2 days, waiting to hear.
In another week or two hoping to have the light in place, can't wait to be able to see while driving  at night again.
Next up the new audio system, Windshield Visor, and Raptor Grille Lighting.

Working slow but trying to catch up with all of the mods.

February 1st... another month gone, it was a cooler than usual January... !
I will be measuring under the passenger seat for room to mount the new amp, not sure where to do it !
Then pulling the passenger Seat and everything inside so I can start the new Head Unit install !
Wondering if I really need a 10" Sub and Amp, but the other speakers should sound better with the amp.

Swiped a some power, leather, heated seats from a 2002 sport track. Installed them in my 2003 single cab.

Any one know which colors need voltage? I'm assuming the black is ground.

Heard you the first time (double post). LOL  Judging by the size of the wires, I would vote on the two greenish/bluish wires.  Better pull up a diagram to be sure, though.

I have no clue why sometimes I get a double post. I've been googling “2002 sport track seat wire  diagrams“ to no true avail

Amazon sells kits and I hear it's not really hard to get the seat covers off to put the pads in.

Actually, I have tried to remove the covers on the Expo leather seats I have... no way I can do it without needing some skill and special tools to put them back on (I can take ANYTHING apart).

On the Ranger Seats its kind of like rolling the cover off, turning it inside out as you pull it off, reversing to put it on.

My Bucket Seats have Heating Pads in place, I added when I switched the seats over, not as hard to do as you might think on a Ranger with cloth covers.

I never hooked up the heat, I now want to replace the covers with the FX Style I purchased and I want to replace the foam with something more sturdy than the OEM Product; which isn't available anymore.

Make sure to get both the seat and the back heaters, my Wife's VW had heated seat and warming the back isteh best feeling after being in the cold.

These Expo seats have hog rings that hold the cover to the seat frame.  I wanted to take the cover off the passenger seat and soak the foam pad in lemon ammonia water because it had gotten wet at the salvage yard and was a bit aromatic.  Couldn't have gotten the cover off without destroying it, so I attacked the foam from the bottom with a spray bottle of lemon ammonia and hot summer sun.

I have never done leather seat covers but hard to think they're much different than Cloth, funny !

The Buckets I put in my Ranger had a few Hog Rings holding one edge, but not a big problem, cut them off and use new ones to secure the new covers or the old one.
I know not that simple !

What IF, you put the seats in the sun, once you have a hot sun, being hot the covers may stretch easier.

Well, right now I have a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer (same as Explorer) full length console installed.  Fits and looks just like it does in the original vehicle.  My plan is to replace the Expo console with one out of an Escape/Mariner/Tribute and at the same time, install the floor-mounted shifter as well.  I have to get some measurements of the Escape console, then I can determine if I can make it work.

EDIT:  This is what it looks like.  This is before I installed the Expo leather seats.  Same thing though.

When you go to sell that console, let me know... might be interested !

Are the leather seats wider than cloth versions ?

One more thing... "Does this Console have a heat diverter to more the floor heats to the sides ?

Thanks for the links, Eddie! Problem is; my seats are out of a 2000 Explorer, which are quite a bit different than these.  The 02-05 seats look WAY easier to work with.  As for the 60/40 bench to bucket; I've done two of those... easy peasy! :)

EDIT: I hadn't actually watched the 60/40 video.  He didn't do the mod like I did.  I cut that extra "middle seat" pan off and reworked the side fabric.

I was tempted to do the 60/40 but I couldnt find a complete set of Fx4 leather covers. Then I found the pair of leather heated power seats on ebay. I took 410customs advise and found a dealer who had the model with the seats I was looking at and measured, then sat in and fell in love. I think you guys will flip when you see them. So nice...

@Mhoward, love the carbon fiber look on your console. Is that a wrap?

I'm actually sorry I changed my seats. My cloth seats were perfect.  Leather (pleather) is so damn slick, you just slide around even with your seat belt on.  Some day, I will have these recovered with cloth.

That is one of the things I do not like about leather seats, that & they are cold in the winter & hot in the summer, I prefer cloth seats. When we purchased a 99 Explorer Sport for my wife a few years ago I ditched the leather seats & got some good cloth ones from a JY & installed them.

The hot and cold thing doesn't really bother me much, but the sliding around... I'm really tired of that.
