I did jump... waiting to see if he accepts or not.  $160 plus shipping is why I don't have a pair already! LOL

It's not nearly as bad as you think, I'm 5'10 and it's comfortable for me.

I converted mine to manual for them to fit and work, left the power accessories on the side for looks.

Well, I found out the reason they are still there.  The guy doesn't respond to offers (even his full asking price) or messages.  Total d*bag.  Irritates me that people will post something for sale, then never respond to your offers or inquiries.  I tried 3 times, no response.  Guess I still won't have any stainless tow hooks. *sigh*

Hey, not your fault.  I appreciate you tossing the link to me!  Besides, I had never used OfferUp, so now I have an account that I can shop for stuff! :)

Well, today I got a message from the guy with the tow hooks.  He's been in Vermont hunting and didn't have cellular service (wouldn't want a phone going off while hunting anyway).  So he asked if I was still interested and of course, I am.  So I re-offered his asking price plus tax and shipping.  Ends up about $75.00.  So... now I feel terrible for thinking bad of him.  Goes to show that you just don't know what is going on at the other end of the Internet (and I should know that).  OfferUp should implement an "Out of Office" thing that will let prospective buyers know you are not available to accept offers or respond to messages.  Anyway, looks like I may have some stainless tow hooks after all! :)

May be a little while. I want to sandblast the painted part and prime and paint them. I'm on vacation until 12/02.  I have new tires to mount on my OEM winter wheels and get them on the truck. Also, my son just bought an F150 to drive to work. We are going over it to ensure it is road worthy.  Oh, did I mention that I have a pair of projector headlights I still need to install?   Time is at a premium!

Good score on the tow hooks Mike. Here is what they look like on my 2000 Ranger.

Those look great, Mike.  I can't wait to get mine on, but as I posted earlier, I want to sandblast and refinish the painted part.  I have to do that where I work and I won't be back there until 12/02.  I have a new FX4 textured valance to put on also, so I may do that at the same time. :)

Don't you just love idiot drivers?  Biggest problem I see around here is the lack of turn signal use.  Auto manufacturers could do away with them completely and nobody would notice.  People not knowing how to properly merge into traffic is another common problem around here.  Anyway, glad you got out of that traffic f*ckup without injury or damage to your truck! :)

Tell you the truth I couldn't care what happened to my truck since it's a 700 dollar beater. I do care when someone else gets hurt. Knock on wood no wrecks since I started driving (4 years so far)

Geez!  At 45 in the wet, I would have a couple hundred feet clear in front or about 4 seconds in time.

Well I learned (hopefully) my lesson that I need more distance. I guess I was just use to my summer tires working like a champ in the rain.
