The Mustang disk conversion doesn't work on a 31 spline but if it is off an expo it already has disk and the expo disk set should be a bolt on to a 31 spline ranger rear.

Are you sure it was 31 spline? You can't tell by the axle code you have to measure the diameter of the tube.

Someone correct me if I have overlooked a detail.

I thought al level 2's had the 31 spline axle? unless it got swapped out.
I have the tag but its illegible.
Anyway, the thing looked like it sat in some brine for a while, it had like 1/8 deep pitting on the tubes.
Plus the spring bolts and driveshaft bolts wre so rusty they weren't hexagonal anymore. and you can't use a grinder or torch at that jy, just a
sawzall. I was allready running late too. So it wasn't worth it.
( or at least that's what I tell myself lol, so i don't kick myself for leaving a surprise 31 slpline axle untouched:ermm:)

After work today I removed the necessary push pins to loosen the rear & side panel interior trim panels & removed all but the top 3 nuts holding in the rear sliding window. I am going to remove the remaining nuts tomorrow & install the replacement rear slider. The glass on the rear slider winmdow that is in my Ranger has many pit marks in the glass & the replacement is like new. Here is what I have done so far.

Mike I truly believe you are our most underestimated member, you have done awesome things to your truck.

I'm wrestling with all 3 of mine trying to make decisions on which comes first. Prioritizing becomes an issue when your love for rangers out weigh your wallet!

Thank you Jim. Today I removed the old rear slider with the pitted glass & installed the new/used one. I am going to make a "how to" for the removal & replacement of the rear glass.

Lets see:
Put the Tool Box back in the Bed... it does take up a lot of room in a short bed, especially a steppie.
Added the Third Brake light Strip under the Tail Gate, need to wire it up and add the Quick Flash Module (three quick flashes and then ON) !  May need to check for brightness, maybe too bright !

To-Do's:
Have a Transmission Leak from the top of my Trans, I remember How-To's on this subject, just need to get my other stuff done.
Once those are completed, I need to replace the OEM Radio, the buttons have almost stopped working.  I can't change between AM/FM, and setting the clock is a major pita.

An older Ranger is a chore and a half to keep working properly.

Went to move the ranger, its cranking forever when it sits. Either fuel filter, or pump. I'll do the filter first. I don't think i have changed it, so god knows when it was last done. I need to get a few little things fixed on it(coolant leak on timing cover, and a chirp from the belt) so i can get it sold. My son's mom decided she wanted him to drive something else.

I went way south to chillicothe with a ranger to rescue my other ranger I loaned to a friend. He said it was overheating and waited almost 2 hours for me to come rescue him. It took a gallon and a half of water then was OK. I think I have a mild leak in the head gasket that is pushing water out. Drove it home no issues.

Bought a camper a couple weeks ago. This weekend installed a new exhaust to help her breath a little better and installed a 7 pin trailer connector for the brakes and charging the camper battery.

For real. All the screws were like 4 times longer than they need to be.. lol. Nothing that a cut off wheel couldn't take care of.

Today I fixed my passenger side door switch and installed some window seals to replace the peeled aluminum ones that came with the truck.

Jim, where did you buy the window seals, the last ones I purchased did not fit good.

They were used, got them from Black06XLT here.
The new ones should fit, they are all over e-bay and ford brand? Xcab short cab shouldn't matter, power window or no they were all the same.

I did have to bend them around a little and I squeezed them together... then knocked them down with my hand to spread them during install. Did you take the mirrors off?
