LOL  Weather here has been super-crappy.  LOTS of rain and cold, which made a trip to the Pick n Pull out of the question.  Now we have the COVID-19 to deal with, so employment is a bit shaky right now.  The company I work for manufactures plastic parts for automotive and medical customers.  The automotive customers (65% of our business) are cutting orders left and right, so I may find myself without income if this keeps going like it is.  For now, this project is on indefinite hold. :-(

Well, it hasn't affected me like that YET... But with the way orders are being cancelled, that could become a reality.  Since I am the Technology manager here, I would be one of the first office staff to go.  Happened to me in the 2009 recession, so I know it can happen again.  We will see where it goes!

I've been looking at Shifters from Lokar, not exactly what you were looking for but they might be able to be mounted under the console.

The other I like is made by Clayton Machine, it is a indent type of shifter.

Both of these have LED readouts on what position they are in, but extra cost !

I ran in to a FB dude that is doing this out of a Mariner (same as the escape) waiting on him for the year he used but I really like it.
Would look even better with light gray interior

He's using an older year console and shifter than I am planning on.  Still waiting for C-19 to get the hell out of the way so I can go to the pick n pull.

You *DID* invite him to join, right???

Been another two weeks, got it done ?

Cant wait for the end of this virus, do it now !

I got my Wife's raised bed planting area done, base, stone, fencing 6 feet high.   The bunnies jump pretty high around here !

Got a Buch of things up in storage in the barn, had been collect a pile of stuff that needed to be put away.

Working on a Wine Barrel Bar... got the barrels, adding screw to the rings around the barrels after tightening the rings.    I need to figure out the best way to connect the top, I want a Stainless Steel Top but not having any luck finding something used, there's always Quartzite, could work.

Next project will be the Pantry Counter Top, I got the new mini frigerator, now to build around the size of the new frig.

The Honey-Do List is longer than the Ranger-Do List.

Enjoy the time at home, together with who ever.   Venture out where you want, wear a mask as you can and keep your distance.

AND Get the Shifter Installed !

I just got home a few minutes ago with a BUNCH of supplies for a kitchen remodel.  This is the third trip of about $500 to $700 a pop.  Flooring, countertops, paint, etc.  Plus a butt-load of things to fix up the outside again (must to do that every few years).

I have lost interest in the Ranger, so it is simply a means of transportation for me now.  I doubt very much if I do the Escape shifter/console as I just don't really care anymore.  Other priorities at the moment.

Well, spent the afternoon helping my son put the 8.8 LS / Mustang disc brake unit under his Ranger and cleaned up under and around the truck while I had the chance.  That has to count for something! ;-)

@Eddie: I usually work on Fathers Day.  Lawn needs cut, something broke that needs to be fixed, grill needs some ribs, steaks or chops on it... ;-)

LMAO

Truth be known, I have never liked Fathers Day (and my birthday) as I don't enjoy attention being focused on me.  Wife and son insist on doing SOMETHING though.  LOL

@Scrambler:  You know, I completely forgot about this thread!  LOL  With all the excitement with my son's auto accident and my wife's gastrointestinal issues and then cancer surgeries and treatments, I haven't had much (any) time to really pursue this project.  Back in March, I purchased a 2010 Mercury Mariner console with the Ambient Lighting package.  I had just started doing some preliminary test fitting when everything in my life blew up.  This is where it's at right now:

It isn't hooked up and there is no wiring run for the O/D button, park interlock or lighting yet.  Not sure when I will get time for that, but I have a hunch it will be Spring of 2022.  But hey, I have nice cup holders now!  LOL

Thanks to Mike69's help, I was able to determine that it would fit between the seats and would require minimal trimming to make it work (he provided measurements from his wife's Escape).  I have everything I need to finish this project, except for the time.  We just had a bit of a cold snap here and when I turned on the heater, all I got was steam and antifreeze smell in the cab.  So it looks like I will have to replace the heater core first and that is quite a bit of work.

Thanks Eddie!  Hoping I can get some time to finish this.  Heater core comes first, though!

@Eddie: The project is still in the works.  Wife has to have a kidney removed and she will be down 3-6 weeks.  Depending on how well she recovers, I may be spending spring taking care of her (and the things she normally does around the house).  I will keep you posted when the project starts back up.
