Found a dude with a 2001 mountaineer, he wants the motor but it has a full length gray console.... going by to see it here in a few. Hope it is light gray, he didn't know.

Hope you got it even if you don't use it... if the price is right !

Don't know if you like selling things but there has to be someone that wants one.

I need something more utilitarian... more metal... aluminum works.

Good Luck !

I didn't go look at it but he did send me some pics. Not a prize winner but it is workable and is the correct color.

Says he is using the motor/tranny for an older bronco. I will have to go look at it and if it has dozens of parts I can use I'll see if he will get rid of the whole shell. He implied I could get everything for cheap but one persons cheap is anothers "no way".

Some people want get what they paid for the base vehicle.

What are putting the full length console in ?

I will need to build wht I THINK I want, some 1.8" aluminum will be a good starting point, and there will be switch and indicator LEDs, and some USBs, etc. etc... !
Just something more to think on, good Luck with it, might be a good score if everything is there.

Weren't the Mountaineers on the loaded option side of the Ford SUV Line... I know Mercury !

Not always, there were some with V6's and some have cloth seats including this one. Problem is there is a "mountaineer" logo on the seat looks unusual in a ranger.

I thought all the Mountaineers were all leather.

The seats have logos, who would have thunk... the logo thing goes along with the all leather thing, in my book; Cloth too, funny the options that used to be out there.

What's the Stereo in it, that could be a goodie... !

I still have his number somewhere if it is the same guy. It was like 11 months ago.

If I remember correctly which I usually don't LOL I went to pick up a radiator which I ended up not getting, a console which I didn't take because it was a dark grey one and some exhaust parts which I was mad at him in the beginning for cutting it up instead of removing it properly but I took the cut up fragments anyway. He had a jeep with a carburated 5.0 in it and pulled the 5.0 because he wanted a FI motor for his jeep.

I guess I should go through my texts and re contact him. If he still has everything there was a perfectly good set of front knuckles and half shafts if someone has a 98 or 99 with PVH still.

All the talk about full length Consoles had me thinking... SMOKE... but I've come to my senses, going to keep the shorty and extend the Dash under the HVAC Controls.
Box it in some and cut to fit around the lower dash section.

Thx for the offer.

Totally agree. I was looking at a 2002 ranger for a co worker and the steering wheel had all these buttons like it was a Mitsubishi. Then I noticed it had been swapped with a mercury steering wheel. Never seen that swap before

Look at the winner for the modzilla may contest 2 years ago, Bob has one of those wheels. Full EB with everything working.
