2001 reg cab xl
Airbag light is on. No flashing. No codes in forscan under any module

The light on the airbag switch is out. So I need to fix that. But I'm curious why there are no codes

There won't be codes. The light is on because the other one is out. I'll try to find the article but I replaced it with a LED. I would not recommend doing that as it has a faint glow from then on but does turn the warning light off.

Have to add, the seat belt pretensioners can do this too but they throw a code B1878 or B1879 depending on right or left. If no code you have to start at the turnoff switch light.

I know it does on a 02 because I saw it but not sure on a 99. You need to replace the light anyway, it is a place to start.

Has it been on from the beginning? If the new light doesn't cure it then take the battery loose for a while and see if the air bags are there!

Now I'm curious, if air bags are deployed then replaced is there something that needs reset?

The air bags are there. No way this truck was wrecked. To much rust, it'd be to easy to tell.

she bought it like 2 weeks ago. She isn't driving it yet because we are repairing many things. But the light has always been on.

I am with you, that the light is on due to the light being out. I am just really confused on the lack of a code.
