Picked up a new Zspec t5 with about 10k miles on it today for $700. Gathering parts for the next one...
Picked up( stick have to go get it) this 98 4 cly 5 speed with all power options, still has the key fob, with 130k original miles for $650! Probably have a $1000 in it by the time I go get it with fuel prices.

But it will have twisted wedge heads(ported ) and everything else ported as well,  Havent decided on which cam yet, just a small street vam that talks!
Torque Monster headers with dual 3 inch exhaust and x pipe, black widow venum 250 mufflers. Will be running the chrome 03 cobra reps this time instead of the black ones that was on the black truck..

Just Gathering parts at the moment.. trying to get it done by September  for the no name nationals down in Sikeston Missouri.  Won't be a race truck by any means, just another daily driver

Going to do a couple things  a little different, cam and hydraulics for the clutch. Going to use an internal throwout bearing this time. The setup on the black truck worked, which was a 2000 f550 master and an external 280z slave, but not good enough for my liking

Sounds interesting.

What will you be doing with the truck, a DDD ?

Why you ask...  "The Twisted Wedge Heads...  PORTED" !      Are these the Street Version ?
Porting heads for street use MAY reduce the effectiveness of the heads.

Just asking not judging or anything like that; I like to understand why things are happening the way they are.
My 5.0L, that hasn't made it in the Ranger... YET, GD SoCal, has the Street Version of the Twisted Wedge Head from Trick Flow, I am hoping for good results both In HP/Torque, and MPG !
This is should be a great thread !

Ltr

p.s. Great looking truck, like the Steppie Bed.

I have no experience with Trick Flow's Twisted Wedge heads on a Ford but when I was putting together a Chevy SB 400 I got their heads and headers directly from them.  It was cheaper than buying from Summit or Jegs. They contacted me to ask what intake I would be using and told me they would be porting the intake and exhaust ports to match. After asking the application they recommended a cam grind and carb. It went into an 81 LeMans street and strip daily driver.

Yes, 100% daily driver travel truck with ice cold ac. As far as porting the TW heads and all the other parts, it unlocks extra few ponies without adding more heat to an already crammed engine bay. More heat as in, if I add more compression to get more power, equals more heat These trucks are somewhat hard to cool with ac sitting in rush our traffic in the high 90's summer days.
I've had several foxbody's over the years, one had very heavily ported stock heads, intake, tb and mas air meter.Meyer.. I was beating trick flow top end cars. That was 30 years ago . So now just about everything I build unless I buy cnc ported stuff, gets ported. It's just a little secret that you know unless you tell.someone everything is ported. Good port work is worth about 30 hp of stock parts.
A typical stock bottome end 302 with the trick flow package  does anywhere from 295-320 rear wheel hp . Which is PLENTY for these little trucks!! I've always had the tendency to over build things and create a hell on wheels daily driver.. there is a fine line that I will not cross again for a true daily.
EDIT: Heads are just the standard 170 cc  heads. The ones in the black truck were the exact same ones and flowed almost as much as  the 11r heads.. but looking at them, they looked  like bone stock 170cc heads that everyone runs..😎
