About a month ago when I was driving my Ranger pretty much all day with a/c on. It stalled at a red light. I didn't think anything of it because it's done every once and awhile. Well it got it worse and I had to park it and get it towed. When I decided to pull into a parking lot it had no power when I pushed the accerlator. I could start it and it would run a few minutes and then stall in park. Had fuel pressure checked it was right on the border for specs. Right around 50 PSI. It seems like every couple of years I'm replacing the fuel pump. Last one was a Spectra. It was under warranty but they didn't have any in stock. I had to order US Motorworks. Right out of the box the fuel gauge would only go 3/4 and it would develop an intermittent hard start, fuel pressure would drop instantly to 0 as soon as the key is turn off. So got another one under warranty put in and Saturday it started stalling out. Now it has intermittent no power and intermitten stalls so it's no long safe to drive around here. I also had the fuel tank cleaned with the Delphi cleaning kit and lines flushed out when the pump was changed. Also a new Ford pressure sensor and fuel filter. Right now it's stuck in my driveway not knowing what's going on. It has 64 PSI running with a rapidly fluctuating needle between 62-64 PSI, 18.5 inches of vacuum at idle. Scanned it today with the scanner and it came up with a P0232, P1703, P1650, P1780. Not sure why those others are there. There's no issue there. There's no check engine light on and the first time I've ever seen any of those codes. Fuel pump tech line said there is a bad check valve on the pump or leaky fuel injector. That's why I swapped out the fuel pump a second time because we thought the check valve was bad but it still drops instantly as soon as the key is turned off. Any idea what I can check so I can get it back on the road?
