I can assure you it is not the same as the passenger side if you want it for a 2.5. I just happen to have one BUT I won't be removing it for 2 weeks. It is perfectly OK I am putting a 4.0 mount in.

Welcome to F-R!

And I'm tellin ya... they are not the same. I have had both sides off and have compared them. The driver side has a dip in it about 1/2" deep and the pass is straight across. I'll take pics when I get it off to show ya.

Not trying to dis you Don, you are correct that everyone lists these as the same. I personally have held a left and right motor mount removed from a 2000 ranger with a 2.5 in my hands at the same time and compared them.

I just looked on the internet and I cannot find a real picture of one. I did find an article on another forum of a guy complaining about this exact thing.

SOB I have a brand new in the box set of 2.5L motocraft mounts for a 1996

I did a 4.0 conversion into a 96 and these were left un used...
Don't do you any good since they are from a ttb right?
Someday I will find a home for them

Is it possible to modify the drivers side so it acts like a proper pass side? or mod the engine plate?

There's a guy on the V8 swap ranger group that has a set from a 99. For petes sake they look nothing like mine what kind of bastardized frankentruck did ford make in 2000?

I'll give him the link to this thread.

I remember this topic from one of the other forums almost a decade ago. It was actually 8 years ago (pretty much to the day), that this snafu was realized. I remember the topic quiet well and was involved with trying to find an aftermarket replacement for the drivers. It doesn't exist as a "new" part. If you happen to come across NOS then the part number is YL5Z6038BA

Here is the thread:

Here are the differences:

Even the pins are different:

YESSSSS!!!! The one in the upper right with the rust on it is the one on my truck. See the ledge on it, there is nothing I've seen that could replace it so far. Thank you for posting that!

Only thing I can think is get used or maybe remold it yourself using urethane. Would have to know the shore hardness rating.
