50/50 test
You add fuel manually to the engine, then crank it

If it starts and then dies you have compression and spark at the right time but no fuel from injectors(or carb, lol)

If it does not start/fire then you have low compression or no spark

Quick and simple test to get you on the right path

Adding fuel to engine
Best method is to remove the larger air tube from upper intake, need a screw driver for most.
Open throttle manually and spray gasoline or Quick Start(ether) into the intake.

Then, making sure air tube won't hit fan, crank engine

You don't have to put air tube back on for the test, you are just checking for spark or fuel problem
