Hey,Me again !I noticed, when I reply or start a new post, that any extra spaces or returns, disappear and the sentences end up next to each other.
Just to check, this message has a return after the "Het and comma" and another one after "Me Again !" !   Lets see what happens.
I will leave the posting as the Site determines it should be.

This is browser related, which browser are you using or which "phone" are you using?

We have an ENTIRELY NEW editor in the works and are testing the poop out of it on the test board it should be much better for everything.

The software is constantly under development.

OK thanks. I'm using the same thing as always, "Mac Laptop" brand new with latest Safari... no phones, no iPads, no Tablets !
I started thinking it was my internet service.
While I have your attention...  "How about a Multi-Quote Button, so if there is a need to answer more thane person's post, at the same time".I will post this under the Lounge Forum !

I'm seeing the same issue. If i want a space between sentences I have to double return and it displays a single return.

Since I've been on here I've been using Chrome on my laptop. Was fine before but now it's not working right.

I don't use Chrome for this site (only sites that require Chrome to work right).  So, since I am having no issues while using Firefox, this message is being posted via Chrome on my laptop that I always use here at home. Just so it's understood, when I post messages at work, it is also using Firefox from my office PC.  So, here goes!
------------EDIT: Chrome appears to cause no problems for me posting here.
Google Chrome is up to dateVersion 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

-----------------EDIT 2: Spoke too soon! It stripped out my line feeds (returns) on my first edit.

mhoward,
I understand that Chrome is a different Browser than Safari, and it may work better here, don't know, but I signed up for On-Line Meds and they are saying I need to Chrome to work their site... WTF !
Why is Chrome different from other Browsers ?

All of the browsers makers are currently in a pissing match. Web designers create sites optimized for the browser THEY like best. So there are no winners... just the end user getting the short end of the stick.

Yes, sadly some browsers insert a line break when you hit enter - others put the text before the enter into a proper paragraph format, yet others shove the text into divisions which automatically get a line break inserted at the end.

So you can end up with
  • no gap,
  • one gap
  • half a gap, or
  • two or more gaps......
Usually out of our control, sometimes we can put a fix in but then it throws something else out.

Yeah... fix it in one browser, break it in another. Can't win!

Sorry to say, it's BACK !

Here is a copy of a post I did and got the old space and font problem.
I fixed the spaces by adding additional spaces but the font indicators are still showing up !

"James / Christian / Adrienne / Brendon / Sean,

Hey, thanks for taking the time to find information, which is good info for all !

I didn't hear about it being just for Off-Road use, I did understand the year thing but hoped there was a way around it.

Now IF Cummins can come up with an On-Road Crate Engine for swapping it would be great.

I guess the 5.0L will end up in the Ranger and find a place to get the inspections done.

Again, thanks for taking the time to find out about this package deal and how it applies to everyday vehicles.

Back to the Drawing board, I guess I can spend the money on a new suspension or a six speed automation trans.

Ltr"

I just started doing double returns at the end of a paragraph.

It does work but sometime it will give only one blank line and other times it will give two.

That works, sometimes, I have tried it but it is not right but I could live with it !
But all of the FONT indicators are weird !

It's BACK !

What is being done on this problem ?

I posted in a SuperLift Kit Thread, went to the trouble of spacing everything to make my point, and Wham-Bam... it's all jammed together.

I understand setting up a new Site isn't easy and take time but this is my main problem.

I started a How-To Article, got it together, changed a bunch of stuff, previewed it, and it was a jumbled mess. I took it out of the first thread (wrong place to post) and thought of putting it in a separate thread... hoping it would change but it didn't.

Thanks for listening, hope something can get done on the SPACING/RETURN problem !

It works better on Firefox - but there is still the issue of carriage returns - they give new lines, not paragraph breaks.

If you want a new para then a double enter gives an empty line.

That will survive in preview and posting.

I am working on a NEW editor that behaves much more like a word processor rather than a text editor.

Watch this space, as they say, it is all happening in the background at this very moment!

I have done a quick fix for Safari/Chrome - let me know if it makes any difference on the Mac - it "should" work the same as Firefox now....
