Too young? Nope, I get the reference. I think I was fairly young when that came out though. Love that movie, right up there with Little Giants and Sandlot!
Oh, and it's been cold here too, unusually cold. 22* last night and about the same tonight. Freezing rain and sleet on Wednesday, it was brutal. Wouldn't be so bad without the winds, makes it feel even colder!

Good morning all! Having a heat wave here! A balmy 20 degrees, which feels like summer after all the single digit temps we've had. Maybe it will get warm enough this weekend so I can pressure wash my truck underneath and see what all I damaged in the wreck last week.

33*F at the moment, and no end in sight for these mid to upper 30 daytime highs. :(

Wreck? You go off roading and find rocks or a drain culvert?

Yeah, my 4x2 OffRoad EDGE! LOL Coming home from work last Friday, a guy in an F150 was passing me on the snow and ice. He lost traction and came my way, tagging my front bumper with his rear bumper.  He got straightened up and kept going... I ended up in the median going backward. It now makes a banging noise in the right front when I hit a bump, so I am thinking something got bent or broken.

Wow, glad you're not hurt and I hope the Ranger isn't too bent. Anyone get the guys plate number or did he make a clean get away?

*Having been hit by hit-and-run drivers and therefore, thoroughly despising them, I'm always delighted to get their plate number, offer to be a witness to what they did, and rat on them.

Oh yeah, I'm fine (thanks for asking).  Truck is drive-able, busted the valance where he hit it, but didn't appear to screw up the bumper.  By the way it sounds, I lost a sway bar bushing or broke a shock.  Neither is a big deal, just aggravation.  Unfortunately, I didn't get his plate number.  To be honest, I'm not 100% sure it was an F150, as I was minding my own business and trying to keep my truck straight on the VERY bad road (had freezing rain / snow all day).

Could always claim it on your uninsured motorist, use the proceeds to buy parts, and do the install yourself. Compensation for labor is in the money left over after buying parts, and this should buy more than enough beer to enjoy while doing the work. :) The thing to note on the UM phantom vehicle hit-and-run claim (Farmers terminology, LOL!) is, the event doesn't raise your premium.

Actually, I never thought of the UM thing. No witnesses other than myself and the douche that got away. I may have to look into that. I've already bought a new valance ($75.00). Depending on what I find under the front, could be $20 or $100 more for that. Thanks for the idea!

NP. When I had to go the UM phantom vehicle road, the deductible went from $100 to $300 (stupid cheap either way), police report was needed and either an estimate from a shop or I went to them and they did one.

*Have you ever thought about a dash cam? They're sooooo cheap these days.

Good Morning 37° with a high of 52° & sunny. I might have to roll the Mustang out of the garage & do some work on it outside today.

Good morning guys! 34* here with a high of 44* expected today. Tomorrow is supposed to be better. It got up to 38* yesterday, so a lot of ice, mud and crap melted and fell out from under my truck. Gonna try to get it cleaned up underneath, but probably tomorrow would be better for that.

Today is not going to be a bad day for January at the foot of the Rockies. Yesterday I took the bike to work, tomorrow there is a winter storm warning out...

This is the third time since I've been in the Air Force that the government has shut down. The last time it took a week to fix (2013) and the time before that took 2 weeks (2010-2011?).

The first time, I only got half a pay check, I wasn't impacted financially on the second and now we got briefed yesterday that we wont get paid at all...but we're expected to go to work still. This ought to be fun.

The government is run by a bunch of bratty school kids. They can't get along and everyone wants to be the boss. It's pathetic.
