I have had a host of respiratory issues over the years. Pneumonia 5 times, a collapsed lung @22, TB when I was 41 and I smoked for 27 years as well (marked my 20th anniversary of quitting on November 20th). So yeah, I can run about 3ft before I am out of breath! Hoping to have eye surgery in January or February next year (cataracts). Right eye is completely useless and the left one is going fast.

Damn! Nothing works right on me! LOL

I've smoked 2-3 packs for over fifty years and haven't had a cold in 28 years.I had my cataracts done and went from thick glasses  to thin. I only take one prescription med a day,low dosage BP pill. I've never felt better after getting off the cement!

Ya know, it's funny how that goes. One person can smoke their entire life with no ill effects. The next person can be a non-smoker and die of lung cancer. I believe I was just born with a weak immune system. I get every bug that comes around... even if I get a flu shot (these things don't seem to help at all).

I don't take any "maintenance" drugs. I take omeprazole every other day to keep the acid reflux away. Other than that, I quit taking all the things the doctor tried to shove down my throat. When taking all the BP/cholesterol/ED/Blood sugar medications, I felt lethargic and fatigued all the time (not that I have boundless energy now). I simply quit taking all that   and I feel way better than I did with it.

Haven't taken a flu shot in 30 years and haven't had the flu, luckily not around kids much,my son hasn't got married but has lived with a gal 20 years but no kids. I believe that helps. The wife and myself never missed work, that's partly how I got into maintenance at work because of my attendance.I can still out walk my wife who has never smoked.LOL! Nap time now!

It's nice to retire, the worse part is your medicare supplement insurance company calls you everyday, to remind you about your medicine, which you already know. They bother you more than work.Luckily I have a 1500 call blocker.

Good Sunday morning to you to Bob & everyone else. It is a little warmer this morning, it is 36° but we are going to get some early morning rain.

I was thinking that also a couple days ago, he isn't lurking at the other place either. I'll e-mail him.

Morning guys. And the one gal.

Hi Bob, yes I do. I am hoping to pull the front seats out & put the new carpeting in & reinstall the front seats. Then it is on to rewiring the entire car (winter project). Still hoping to get it running by its 50th birthday (11/26/2018)

I finished the Christmas lights outside today while my wife decorated inside. I added the sleigh & the 2 Huskies to pull the sleigh.
