OK this has been published in the Washington Times, which does lean right most of the time but it is still hits points I have noticed with my own eyes.
If the article suddenly gets taken down or revised I have saved the original in text and can PM it to anyone that wants it but I can't post the text for obvious reasons.

Washington Times Article

I read that article (thanks for posting, Jim) and then found another one, also on the Washington Times.  Both follow my intrinsic thoughts on this whole C-19 thing.  I think when this crap is all over (with exception of the financial fallout), Americans should dismantle the current news media agencies, and remove the majority of the politicians that have followed this flawed BS.  This has hobbled our country and it will take years to recover from it.  As for the stimulus packages?  That will take many, many generations of taxpayers to fix that one.

OK - so take away all the lockdown etc. let one in five people get it seriously, let the queues build up at hospitals and one in say 10 of those just die. Mostly over 70s. That's 6 million americans dead - about the same number as Jews killed in the holocaust. Even if that number includes the usual death rate of around 3 million per year in the US, it is still 3 million totally due to CV 19.

Let the infected travel all over the world, cos that's their rights - that's 150 million at 2% death rate.

Really?

Spanish flu killed around 50 million and we did nothing to stop it.

You can't say "Spanish" flu because it is racist. That was humor but not aimed at you, it is aimed at the media.

And one in five would not get it. That is a projected number by software that can not predict what will actually happen.

And I really think there is a point here that everyone including you chris who I have said and proven I have a great deal of respect for isn't getting....

The point is the global financial and psychological devastation caused by the lock down, the global financial devastation that is being caused by the unemployment and the stimulus, the businesses that will never recover, entire towns, cities that will be bankrupt will take a lot longer to recover from and cause more long term suffering than the virus would have. We have not seen the beginning.

Oh - I get it OK - business is more important than people's lives?

Maybe people will realise that there are other ways to conduct business, that there is no NEED to travel to offices when the same work can be done remotely - 30 odd years ago we were 'promised' that computing would bring a revolution in working practices, maybe this will kick start that process which has been stalled through resistance to change and greed for profit?

It is certainly highlighting the stupidity of government that turns down manufacture in the UK and buy from abroad so that our manufacturers then export the same product cos they can't sell it here!

The world recovered after other pandemics and wars and it will recover again.

To come at it a different way, I suppose it is a good thing to kill off the elderly, it reduces the pension burden on business and government?

Peoples lives are affected by business. I put aside all other eggs in my basket, I didn't promote the hosting which at one time was growing exponentially, I was offered 2 different careers during the last 8 years and I did not take opportunity because I was begged to stay by a small company that was paying for my health insurance, life insurance and given a decent salary.

The industry it supported was outdoor motorsports related. Now there are 16 people in that building alone one of 8 companies in the chain (the others have suffered also I don't have the exact numbers) including myself that have no form of income.

So no place is hiring, unemployment only lasts for so long, my skills are specific to an industry, I'm 60 years old this year, both the wife and myself have health issues, how do you think this is going to end? This isn't a few thousand people this is over 20 MILLION in the USA that are in similar situations to myself. 20 Million.

Government can only print so much money it will come to a screeching halt because of reality.

This will get MUCH MUCH worse. And it is stupid because it is political, bottom line reality. They couldn't dig up enough people willing to lie to support impeaching trump. So they scared the public into a world shut down, by them I mean specifically the far left thinking people and trump haters. But he is rolling with it and has also dodged almost completely the "see? Trump is president and the world has shut down!".

Wait till Trump is sworn in for a second term. It will be war.

So in a strange sort of way you could deduce that Trump has caused all of this eh?

The virus was real. No worse than any number of other things we have faced and certainly not as bad as the holocaust or the Vietnam war.

The scare has scarred the planet for the foreseeable lives of all who are here, our children, grandchildren and beyond. There is no 100% recovery.

Well, I hope it all works out one way or another - let's face it, there is nowt we can do to change it.

Actually there have been more US deaths to CV than Vietnam now.

It isn't just the US politicians - unless they have bribed the rest of the world.

I was watching Mr President the other day on TV - he has "No idea" why there is a surge in queries over injecting disinfectant - he is obviously turning from businessman into politician ...

As an aside - one positive out of this is that the shortage due to Brexit of EU immigrants who normally come to pick our crops in the fields has been offset by people who are furloughed from work now signing up to do that work!

If there is one thing that really pisses me off it is people who leech on society - people who produce nothing and take profit from others.

Buying & selling stocks & real estate cheap and selling high - they contribute nothing to the GDP.

Yes, real estate is a good investment for the long term, providing homes for people and protecting your hard earned money, but making a quick buck out of others misfortune is just vile.

Unfortunately, the world is full of those kind of people.  In this case, profiting from a pandemic.  It tickled me greatly when I read the article a month or two ago about the guy and his brother that bought up all the hand sanitizer, toilet paper, gloves, masks and such and started selling on eBaby and Amazon.  Both companies shut them down and wouldn't allow them to sell their stuff.  They were stuck with tens of thousands of dollars worth of product.  GOOD! *Evil Grin*

Is there a credible news agency that can confirm this?

What do you consider credible. NBC? CBS? ABC? CNN?  James has been busting the big ones for a while.

What do you think CBS is going to say if you ask them "Hey did you stage a fake covid testing line for your morning show?"

I think the issue here is that you really can't trust ANY NEWS SOURCE to report just the facts.

Nobody said the virus wasn't real or people are not dying. I know one that did die, I also know another 80 year old with COPD that got it in a rehab center he will be in for the rest of his life anyway, got extremely ill, had the goodbye video with his family, and lived. He even learned how to use instagram afterwards was only a couple weeks ago. Not from the news but people I know.

Nobody said it was fake. The numbers are just way off.

Notice: now that some states are "opening" back up and relaxing restrictions, the news media along with the "experts" are saying that we will have a second wave in the fall and that it will be "MUCH MUCH WORSE".  More hype because that is what the media feeds on and it keeps the experts in the spotlight and in control of our lives.  Not saying that there won't be a second wave, not saying it won't be worse than the first time, but THEY DON'T KNOW YET.  No one knows.  It's all speculation based on something they know very little about yet... based on computer models THAT ARE INACCURATE because they don't have good data and facts yet to input to the modelling programs.  THIS SH*T JUST NEEDS TO STOP!

Now, bring on the flames! :-)
