Interesting information!!
I do not like to see anyone get hurt or suffer. Respiratory illness and virus is a nasty way to go it can reach anyone.

I do not need a reason to stay home, I love my family and my home. I am very lucky
I just think people are smart enough to do this on their own, and for those that do not comply they will be policed naturally by their neighbors or suffer from spreading disease. The last thing we need is civil unrest and the military on the streets to "keep the peace"

I simply do not like the panic mentality (TP shortage) or the infringement on our rights (walking papers), people are too quick to give us their rights

1. They are behind us on the curve so I would expect fewer cases there at the moment, and
2. The main transport medium for the virus is conurbations where people travel from other conurbations so I guess outside the big cities in Africa there will be fewer cases, but I don't rate those who get it haveing much chance of survival if they are in the vulnerable class.

A street vendors fish sandwich in Djibouti will get squeaky clean inside also. Ethiopian coffee at the Addis Ababa airport,  shawarma in Alexandria or Abuja, and lest I forget the $50 pizza  in Dakar which all got me close to a bathroom and a bottle of Kaopectate for a day or two.

In summary:

The World is a lot smaller place than most thing it is.

We are ALL subjected to this Virus and react in the same way.

ALL of our governments are responding in the same way.

All Infectious Diseases Units, Groups, Departments, etc, are reacting the same, poorly, but they are doing the same thing no matter where you are.

As I think Chris stated, the main problem is the World was overrun by this virus and could not respond effectively and is reaponding the only way they can.

It isn't a matter of a persons rights, it is the other person rights we need to consider.


The only thing I am hoping it ISN"T... is a testing pad for a major Viral attack... from who, well I won't take that one on just yet but if this is an accident then lets get it done as fast as we can and with minimal casualty !


God Bless all members out there, stay safe, don't do something foolish, and wash your hands !

Don't take anything from a news channel for gospel without cross checking other sources - the BBC news also comes from people who are ill informed or express personal opinion - I have never seen such a rush for comment from people who are not in a position to know!

The government news bulletins are always couched in non committal terms - despite being pushed by the media to give definite information - anyone with an ounce of sense knows that NOBODY knows when things will change, the lockdown end, how many will die, etc.

Numbers are vague - nobody knows how many have caught the virus and had no symptoms or very mild symptoms - I suspect the vast majority - all we get are numbers from hospitals and care homes and even then they don't know if people are dying FROM the virus or just WITH it.

Just keep yourself & family safe - being broke is better than being dead, rights are not important at times like this, you haven't got any rights when you are 6 feet down, not even to rest in peace cos they can dig you up again in 99 years time...

Grave plot leases generally run for 50 - 100 years in the UK - it may be different in the US. The only sure way of being left alone is cremation and scattering at sea or somewhere inhospitable - space even!

Being buried in a coffin means that maybe one day an archaeologist will dig your bones up and put you on TV!

I have actually told my wife to have me cremated.  Now the scattering of my ashes... haven't really thought much about that.  Wife will probably just flush me down the toilet! LOL

My grandmother was an Elvis fanatic so mom took some of her ashes in a bag and released her all over graceland. Lol. The rest of her is over the fireplace mantel...

I'm not an Elvis fan but alas the wife is. So she wanted to go to graceland. I took her and the kids.

There is so much stuff to see there it makes it worth it. The museum is filled with cars and rock artifacts including a good amount of stuff from Cleveland's hall of fame. Vehicles from movies that elvis wasn't a part of or involved in, just from the era. The food was  phenomenal. I walked in to the SiriusXM elvis studio and my wife ended up on the radio as part of an elvis trivia challenge, got to meet the DJ's. The whole experience was great, I don't like Elvis any better but I would go again.

Elvis was a big gun fan too. Got to see the range he put in one of his barns, and a bunch of his guns.

OH and go karts too, he was in to those and motorcycles. Plenty to see.

Fun fact, people do not like to buy land that has human grave sites on it, so they would have to pay big $$$$$ to have you exhumed 
So if I die I would like to be buried here at the house.
This makes it much much harder for my kid to sell this place :) 
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA so he may be forced to keep the "old place back in the woods" during his crazy 20's and 30's and then when he is older and more wise, he will still have this place when he decides its the best place to live after all...
In all seriousness I want to be cremated, my body does not need to rot in a box yuck.
My ashes can be spread here at the top of the mountain and some down by the river. I belong in the woods, in the mountains, near a river.

I can understand not wanting to buy land with graves on it.  Some people are so afraid they would be haunted by the dead people.  I'm not a believer in that sort of thing.  Good idea on how to keep the home and land in the family! LMAO
