You had the right side slider at the bottom so even though the cross was in the white area of the box, the hue was set minimum so the result is near black.

I have reset it back to white.

No idea why it should change on an edit! Maybe try resetting the cookie when you next log in.

See if it behaves itself - is there a reason why you are using the ranger theme rather than rangernew?

There should be only one human using the ranger theme. Rangernew for everyone else.

I didn't change anything, it just happened, thought it must be something new !

I will look at my setting and see what I have going on.

ltr

Added...

First, My cursor in the posting mode is black, where do I change that ?

Second, I went to the Preference Settings and changed the Font to White with a Black Background, when I "save" it the setting goes to Black Lettering with a White Background.

A lot of changes, are they affecting anyone else ?

Thx / Ltr

I have reset your font color to white on the database - I suspect the problem is because you are using the ranger theme which has only been left for one user who is using a very old browser and operating system. It was not saving your choice of color to the database.

Anyone using Windows 8 or later or Linux should be using the rangernew or rangernewblue themes - they have a modern editor and other improvements.

What operating system & browser are you using?

Hello Chris,

Thanks for responding AGAIN !

I had switched over to the "new" theme and a little while back I was hit with a different look to me page.
I did not remember the old theme, but I thought there were changes going on and all would work out... I guess it didn't !

I looked for a Switch to change to the Newer Theme BUT I can't seem to find it !

HELP ?

I will look again, thx for your time and effort with the site !

I checked the Cursor in the EDIT mode and it is now white, thx !

I just changed BACK to the "Rangernew" Then !

I say BACK, because I had changed to the theme and only little while back I logged in and the Site went crazy for a while and then, I'm guessing, went back to the old theme, which I didn't even notice.

From that point on I started having small problems, I ignored some, some I posted about !

I am back at the Rangernew theme, so lets see how that works out.

Thx to Chris for the adjustments but remember that these "FONT things" and "Theme things" changed only recently AND without my intervention.

How recent has there been changes made to the site ?

Ltr

Daily, working on mobile compatibility. Chris has done a great job of making the site more visible to mobile devices and subsequently... google searches.

As Jim says, I am working on a new theme which is mobile friendly, but I have made no changes at all to the ranger, rangernew or rangernewblue themes for a long time now.

The reason you saw the login issue was simply that the new mobile theme is set for the board default so people not logged in, including googlebots, see the new theme - users who then login get their own theme ( mostly rangernew) after they are logged in.

OK then, thanks...

I looked around and found the switch for the page Theme, made sure it was in the "Rangernew" setting, saved it, it took !

Appears all of the FONT problems have been corrected, thx !

Sorry for any trouble, little things tend to bother me more than big ones !

Ltr

p.s. I have said before I "Log Out" at the end of a session and then in again when I return.
Someone said "to stay logged in", but... not my way !

The google crawl rate has skyrocketed as a direct result of Chris's work. If he were in the US I would give him a Ranger for his efforts.
