Well Jim has had me ferreting around to see if there is a fix for this.
There are workarounds but they would just avoid the issue by turning off a security code. Not a good idea.
It is a recognised issue with Chrome - their security seems to have gone to the point where a lot of text editors will trigger this response in certain circumstances.
I will continue to see if we can modify the way our editor works but in the meantime I have three options for you.
1. Use Firefox.... or any browser other than Chrome or Opera
2. If you want to use Chrome or Opera then don't use the preview button - just post and review the post - you can always edit it without issue if you want to.
3. Go to the post you want to quote - select the bit you want and copy it to the clipboard (ctrl C) then hit reply, then paste (ctrl V) and select the text you just pasted then click the code button in the toolbar - this will give you the quote which is safe from the preview issue - preview will work normally.
