True, but what is the market going to look at? They are going to see that as another 4-door SUV, right?

As stated above fords stated the bronco will be 4 door only, and that picture posted is not official. I would be willing to bet it looks a lot more like the ranger, than a unique rig

Yeah, they tease us with something like that 2-door white one I posted and get us all hot and bothered wanting one.  Then they will release some lame-assed POS that looks like everything else on the road.

I wouldn't say they teased us, I can't find where ford officially released any of those photos.

All I've seen is that it'll compete with the jeep, be capable, and be 4 doors

All of the above... yes, Ford did their loyal Ranger based fans in AGAIN !
We are loyal Ford Ranger owners and repair the old girls to keep ourselves in the older design, why didn't Ford listen to all of the Ranger Forums and build something that would be competition for the Jeep vehicles and other 4x in that class ? I know $$$ !

I am adamantly against this new Ranger and if it turns out the same vehicle... the 4-door Bronco also, and although I was going to be the first in line to sign up first for the Ranger... NOT HAPPENING and then for the Bronco... a BIG NOT HAPPENING, if it turns out like the T-6 Ranger/Everest, I am finally left out in the cold, along with other PERSONS wanting a new Mid-sized Truck, and I will be moving to Toyota when this '03 Ranger dies !

Let's see where was... Diesel Conversion, 5.0L... which one should be the next engine to keep me going ?

Another approach to the new Bronco.I'm thinking this could work, it really looks like a two door Explorer but it isn't bad !Only thing...  $$$$$$$  ?

Not too bad, I might think on this one a little more than a Bronco that looks like the new Ranger !

I like that design probably the best. Put some 3" fender flares and large heavy lugged off road tires. A good turbo-diesel, LS axles, and you would have a popular off road vehicle.

I'm with you but we need to leave something for the after market to make some money too !
I just like the design better than the what has been proposed except the one that was out first, a long time back, it was more square, and was Off-Road all the way !
Ford is never going to make a vehicle that is an Off Road Utility Vehicle,  not sure if they don't want to compete with Jeep or what !   Every time Ford decides to go all the way, they usually win.
I for one want an Off-Road Vehicle, solid axles, Turbo Diesel, six speed Alison Auto Trans, with a super manual Transfer Case but as we know, "It ain't going to happen" !

I think we have heard this before.
