I feel somewhat compelled to add to this so here goes for not.

Our small business 12° North Industries is a diverse and even eclectic demographic of the now rising outdoor lifestyle that is  centered around the overlanding community as a whole. By that we work with several mid to upper end manufactures working with many quality but affordable off-road parts and trail camping gear all the way to quality clothing/shoes and kayaking, and its growing faster than we anticipated.

If I had to paint a stolen thought as a picture of known and established venues; take a Dicks Sporting Goods, insert an REI and a 4 Wheel parts store inside. If some of those establishments aren't a familiar venues for you, its okay. The sidebar vendor links to our website Jim has graciously made available to us and others should be open by the 2nd week of the new year as we finish up some things on the site in preparation of 2018.

With that being said there are 100's of shops with some all over the place grabbing at any and all customers possible and then there are some niche establishments, much like ourselves. By that I mean we cater to specific genre's of vehicle platforms, i.g.:

Ford's
  • 93-97 Ford Ranger
  • 98-00 Ford Ranger
  • 01-11 Ford Ranger
  • 18+   Ford Ranger (Upcoming)
  • 90-94 Ford Explorer
  • 95-03 Ford Explorer

Nissan's

  • 99-04 Nissan Xterra
  • 05-15 Nissan Xterra
  • 97-04 Nissan Frontier
  • 05-17 Nissan Frontier

Toyota's
  • 89-95 Toyota 4Runner
  • 96-02 Toyota 4Runner
  • 02-09 Toyota 4Runner
  • 07-10 Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • 11-14 Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • 95-04 Toyota Tacoma
  • 05-16 Toyota Tacoma
  • 17+ Toyota Tacoma

Chevy/GMC's
  • 15-18 Chevy Colorado
  • 15-18 GMC Canyon

We haven't limited ourselves as we do get the occasional inquiry for because we offer many product lines used also for full size trucks / SUV's, both domestic / import. Of course there are and have been some very loyal Jeep guys that have been with us from the start and do offer parts and services to.

For the moment, the establishment of our brick and mortar is embarrassingly small for the size of the world and business we are creating. The company is expanding on its lines in e-Commerce at great strides, working towards multiple goals and taking on new ones.

One of the goals is looking towards bringing back the larger sought after-market back to the Ranger community that the Nissan and Toyota fanboys/girls seem to congregate praise of over the domestic markets. We also hope that with the introduction of the NEW Ford Ranger that may stir up things a bit more here Stateside.

We do have a small but efficient manufacturing facility in Ripon, WI. that has been responsible for and in care of making laser cut off-road winching bumpers and rear multi-carrier bumpers that we will offer both as a DIY flat stock self-welding kits with extremely detailed instructions. For those looking to save maximum coin and have the "Built not bought" attitudes this may be for you. Those lacking welding skills will have the benefit of being able to order theres as "assembled units" and have our professionals do the work for you; at an additional cost mind you.

In either case, fully welded or flat stock ordered DIY. They ship will ship in raw steel to for additional savings and to mitigate any damage to the finish during shipping. We've seen UPS and Fedex guys on youtube delivery's.

We also have rock sliders becoming available for both extra and standard cab Rangers, among some additional armoring under chassis plates looking to protect those fuel tanks, transfer cases, oil pans, and such all under the 12° North Industries name.

As for Base Camp, 12° North Industries resides in the Las Vegas, Nevada area and is where the first store front is located. We will be pursuing our first warehousing facility for wholesale and distributions in the near but distant future. Already we have been making multiple connections and networking with other small mom & pop shops in several other States looking to do business with us and expanding their lines and own growth under 12° North Industries; which has me excited to see the growth potentials.

If you have any questions for us, please feel free to address us by PM, in the upcoming Vendor section Jim I hear is working on, or contact us or myself directly from the information below.

Hello, not sure if I introduced myself or not. I have been trying to figure out how to navigate the site.

I am a stubborn old fart with a 98 Ranger that is in about as bad a shape as I am.

Hope I can learn thing here to fix my truck up... I know, I know, 60 year olds should grow up and just be thankful it gets you from point A to point B.. Oh and BACK again.
But that is not me, I want my truck fixed from the inside out. An old fart needs some extra touches to get a notice !

Hello Sammy and welcome to the forum! There are several of us old farts here... and plenty that are of the younger crowd. We all get along great here, despite the age differences because of our common love of the Ford Ranger. I'm sure you will fit right in! :)

No need to be shy.  Hang around here a little while and you will see we are pretty laid back (and say some stupid things sometimes).

Two rules here -

1. No question is a stupid question, and

2. only stupid people don't ask the question ..... :)

[size="3" verdana""=""]Hello everyone..Recently bought from a friend a 2000 Ford Ranger, regular cab, flair side 4x4.Been used on his property for a couple years so it needs some work.Changed serpentine belt, idler and torsion pullys.Replaced rotten vacuum lines to the wheels for the 4x4.He installed the new electric motor on the transfer case.Still no 4x4.Have a clutch, pressure plate and hyd bearing in a box to install. The 3.0 flex runs great and 5 spd works great, just very high clutch pedal.

We are a bunch of "young at heart" guys, I will be 60 in 5 days (a late 57 model) & I am trying to work on my Mustang like it was 30 years ago & my body says no you won't. Arthritis is beating me up, it is starting to attack all my joints especially my hands & knees. It really stinks getting old, but there is NO alternative but to suck it up & go on.

Mike.

Well I have been 19 for 37 years. The 21 years in the USAF really ran the clock up as far as wear and tear.
