Hello Ranger Forum members. Found this forum through the recent Rock Auto newsletter. I am the original owner of a 2004 Ranger XLT that I was fortunate enough to special order. Dark green (Paint code FU) finish, gray interior, 4.0 engine, 5R55E tranny.  It's been a great little truck and only routine maintenance and minor repairs EXCEPT for the catastrophic engine failure at about 165,000 miles. Original transmission still shifting perfectly (knock on wood). 286,000 miles on her.

I am always looking for thoughts and suggestions from other experienced owners as “ challenges” occur.

:hi Welcome, Glad you joined us. Have fun and enjoy F-R. My wife was the death of NoPowers motor. I would consider that turbo 4 banger 300 hp they are putting in the Mustang.
