Hello to everyone.  New member but an old fart owner.  Picked up a 2009 Ranger XL Longbed back in March from a neighbor we kind of look after.  Ranger was purchased in 2009 and kept totally stock, and had been sitting for the past 4 years.  Owner went into a nursing home, and wife basically gave  me the truck.  Only had 23,000 milen.  Has been maintained by a local garage, would come by every 6 months and give it a check.
Still had original tires on it (since changed).  Gave it a good cleaning and detailing, and it is basically a new, 10 year old truck.  Planning on keeping it as stock as possible with anything I add being able to be changed back to stock.  Just added a set of home made side bed rails as I've always liked the look.
I will be lurking daily.

Very pleased with it.  It's basically a new truck, no rust, dents, just a few paint chips, even original "orange peel" in several places.
Still had original auto trans/brake/coolant which was in new condition .  Have changed all only due to age.
Sprayed in bedliner done in 2009 at time of purchase, and bed is in new condition...owner never carried anything in it.
Passenger side seat was apparently never sat in.
Not my first Ford and not my first Ranger, and didn't need this one, but too good to pass up.
Have shown it and attended cruise-ins and it gets lots of looks cause of it's condition.

Welcome Grumpaw!  Nice truck...there's something to be said for keeping it stock.  It looks to be in good hands.

I believe 2009 was the last year of the long bed.

I believe your right.  Looked up a 2010 Ranger brochure  and they only list the 6 foot bed.

Welcome to F-R. Name is Kaylee.

That is so awesome! I remember when mine was bone stock. 2010. Has less than 50k miles. Had a fiberglass paint matched camper shell on it. All stock. My parents bought it from the Ford dealership in our town. It was a one-owner truck.

Now mine is jacked up 7" and 35s. 15x12 wheels. 2" spacers. Black fiberglass fenders. 4.10 ratio with hardened axle shafts in a 7.5 rear. LED all around, and a black shiny toolbox.(Lots more but you get the point)

look forward to seeing ya around the page!!
