Hey all. Just picked up my first Ranger a few months ago and have slowly been making it my dream truck. I have a week left until school starts (I'm a teacher) and them I run out of time to spend on truck. Here's a little transformation pic so far- still need to get the rear lift on, the new wheels/tires, and rip out the plastic bed liner and herculiner the thing. Also trying desperately to find a honeycomb grill for a 2000 but so far no luck!

Bonus pic of my dude

Woohoo! Another 2000, I unconditionally welcome thee :)

Mike69 here has a 2000 with altered front grill and lights he would be a good resource for questions. He is a daily visitor and will be all over this :)

memsie, welcome to F-R. You have to swap over to the 2001-03 lights & grille to get the honeycomb grille. I did it in a few hours, it is not that hard. You have to replace the headlights, corner lights, grille, grille surround, & header panel. If you want it to look like a 01-03 you could replace the front bumper & front valance, or it will fit using the bumper & valance from the 2000 like I did. I even replaced the flat hood & went with the power dome hood from a 01 Ranger.

Welcome!  You've certainly tapped into a great resource for your Ranger.  Ask lots of questions because we all benefit from the answers such as Mike's above.

Mike69, thanks so much! I'll get on that eventually.

Cool to see another NW person on here too, Eddie.

FWIW got it back from the shop. Rear lift happening today.

Are you going to use the tonneau cover? Is it in good shape. If it is, and priced right I could be a buyer. I sold my undercover tonneau cover for $250 because i was using my truck for work. It didnt work with the ladder rack and wheel barrow. I now have a company truck. I considered getting a cap but I think a tonneau may look nicer.

I didn't even take it with me when I bought the truck. It stayed in the dude's driveway. It was broken in a few spots and had a wasp nest built in so I said no thanks :)

Thanks for getting back so quick. It looked in good shape in the pic and I noticed you added bed hooks and it was removed. Mine would have been damaged too if I tried to store it. Mine was a black crinkle. I would have painted yours vista blue to match my truck. Dang...just an impulse. That's how i get myself into so many projects. Lol.
