Hi everyone new to the site a new to the ranger world bought me a 2002 ranger XL 2.3L automatic it's my project truck it runs great but I need to replace the transmission if I can find one no luck finding one close to me as of yet... I hope to do some inexpensive mods.... Thank you for the ad

They may be fun if you have done them before but i have never done a trans i know nothing about them except they make ur truck move and they take fluid lol... give me a engine totally different story... I only paid $250 for the truck so what do i have to lose... I can not find a transmission with in 200 miles from where i live is 2.3L engines that rare ??

: Update : i installed a new/used trans yesterday its the first time i ever did a trans i prefer not to do another one but i would if i had to so far every thing is working correctly keep fingers crossed !!! I want to thank everyone for there input & support that helped me make this trans swap a success... There is allot of great people that's very informative of whats going on with different aspects of every truck on this site plz keep up the great work & thanks again for the warm welcome & the support to make one of many more projects a success...
