Road trip to WV to pick up a pushrod 4.0 for the extended cab! 129,000 miles and it includes ECU and wiring harness though I won't need it.

You should see this guys Mustang, nearly show condition fox body with a 351W.

Trip went well except for Google maps sending me back a TOTALLY different way than it took me there including about 45 miles of this road that might as well have been a snake hit by a lawn mower. Here I am with a questionably strapped 400LB chunk of iron to the REAR of the axle for easy loading and extraction taking dozens of turns marked as 15 to 30MPH it was insane.

Think didn't move a half inch. I had 6 straps on it, jackstands under the motor mount plates... er... engine mount plates, a large chunk of wood under the HB pulley.

When he said he included the harness I didn't know it was the complete front harness including things like:

Now that's getting the harness! I could put fuel to this thing and fire it up. Freon and I have AC lol.

Looks like a recent alternator, picture doesn't show it but there is a lot of yellow still on the pulley:

And the engine itself:

Checked the oil, it was full and looked like a few hundred miles. I have to pull the valve covers for gaskets this will tell me how good it was really cared for.

The dude I bought it from was going to put it in a Gen 1 Ranger for his son. Here is the gen 1. Looks like a project but it has some good things about it, the frame is in a lot better shape than normal. He knew the owner and used to watch this very ranger drive by when he was a kid and he wanted it then. Like I said it is a PROJECT.

He had some other projects around, turns out he is a mustang fanatic. He had a silver 2000 he just bought dark interior looked nice I didn't get pics but I would drive it. GT, 4.6 VERY good condition.

But it looks like his passion was Fox bodies here is the main project:

OH and the under side:

That's a HEALTHY 351W, manual valve body auto trans B&M trick shift, custom gauge cluster. All very clean.

OK that's the story, now I have to transplant a 4.0. I'll put it on the stand and strip some things off it. Time for a thread specific to that.

Nice 351.

When I go on a trip now, I use The Waze App, I have never been disappointed.
My daughter introduced me to it and I haven't been without it since.

Always take you the less traffic route via paved roads, and as few toll roads as possible.
