I know about Compnine but you have to pay for so many VINs decoded. Ford ETIS doesn't work anymore. I think it's only for Ford techs. I'm looking to buy another Ranger extended cab but I want to check options such as rear axle ratio and springs, auido system before I buy one. Is there one that breaks down the VIN with options that you don't have to pay for or you don't need security clearance for? I know you can do it all you want for free on the Dodge website for Chrysler vehicles back to 1996.
