I picked up a set of leather, heated, power seats for a my 2003 single cab. The connector that came out of the floor of the sporty only had 5 wires to it. I've googled looking for either a wiring diagram or someone that knows what each wire is for to no avail. I ditched the power but got to keep heat and lumbar support.

If any one is interested I can do a How-To on taking expo/sporty track seats into a single cab without any welding.

I can tell you the larger wires are the power feeds for the heat pads........... The heater circuit will have its own power feeds
and the rest of the controls (power seat base or air lumbar) will use the smaller wires :)

Two power wires for the heater pad? Hmm seems odd but ok lol

Could one 30 amp feed to a seat be split in half for the heater or should I run two separate feeds right from the battery to the seat?

Well I figured it out.
Black-ground
Both bigger wires-are feeds to lumbar and heaters. (I put both together and put a in line fuse, 30 amp).
Blk/rd- illuminated switch
Gry/yel- switched ignition to trigger the controller.

Thank you 410, always a help! I kinda had the mentality of “heck with it” since they are junk yard seats after all.

yeah my books do not match your wire colors!!
Sometimes you just gotta work backwards.....knowing black is always ground UNLESS It has a stripe, then sometimes it is power (thanks ford).
Knowing the larger wires are power circuits, this stuff really helps
the stock seats use a 30 amp power feed for the switches and motors and a separate power feed for the heaters. On my BII I used a 40 amp mega fuse and ran one power wire to both seats, grounding the seat heaters right there at the base of the seats. The factory 1988 power feeds for the air lumbars are still in place, they just provide power for the power seat motors.....

I can't lie, heated seat in the winter is best mod someone can do to their ride!

Yesterday I had a long drive in the excursion, my hip was bothering the crap out of me, hard to get comfortable kind of thing....turned on the seat heater and about 15 min later the pain started to subside!
My mom's 2018 Explorer has seat massagers! WTH! If I try those out I am afraid I would get tired...also I would be in the market for some 2018 explorer seats in mocha!

Hell I'd try myself to make a set fit. That is if I could come across a pair for dirt cheap.
