 Just as the title says, randomly the horn quit working and the airbag light is staying on, I'm not sure if they both started at the same time because I don't use my horn much. Been doing some readin, most of the conclusions say clockspring needs to be replaced. Should I take it to a dealer to do that since they need to replace the airbags for the recall anyways, or do it myself? I don't like dealerships

 Is it the 08? I know on the older models these connections are under the air bag and go through a twisted ribbon cable. Yes the horn wiring and the air bag go through the same cable on the older ones, not sure about 08.

If the connection is broken to an air bag the light will come on.

 Yes it's the 08. Idk it doesn't bug me so it's not a pressing issue, just so long as it won't accidentally blow the bag in my face or not blow the bag when in an accident. I'm assuming I'd have to take the cover off the wheel to look for the wire you're referring to?

 It will fail to blow the airbag in the steering wheel if the light and the horn are related, I think they are. The airbag light could be unrelated to the horn but I wouldn't.... bet my life on it.

 if the light is on there should be a code in the airbag system to point you at what the fault is

Also check your fuses!!

 Checked fuses, how would I check the airbag system for codes? All I have is that Bluetooth obd2 reader

 So with your scanner you should be able to access the PCM and then all the other modules, on my scanner I can actually choose to talk to the ABS computer and retrieve codes. See if your scanner (or software) has that ability, most of them do these days..... Might be listed under manufacture specific codes, or diagnostics? just have to look around. My scanner can talk to all "body computers" that are able to communicate
