Seems extremely straight forward and most of all for $50 you get power windows. Mind you, the switches/box are ugly. No really getting around that. But for the small amount of time and money it seems almost worth it to me. Worst case senario if they brake you can use the crank again and still use the window.

Does anyone have experience with a kit like this $56"

On amazon they are hit and miss reviews. Some people love them. While others say they work but then stop. The ranger window isn't big at all, and it's very light when I turn my crank to roll up and down the window. Plus the video above is cool to see another ranger using this system. I'd go OEM but honestly the parts and wiring involved would be a lot more money.

After searching youtube it seems this style that goes over the crank gear is pretty common and more so on much older vehicles that never had a window regulator from the factory.

No experience with those, I have regulators and switches from a ranger along with the harness. I hear installation is a B**** but I'm willing to tackle it.

Will need door covers without the hole, but it might be a good spot for a tweeter?

- No experience but keep in mind that IF you have troubles using a manual crank window, windows not closing properly, the electrics will not fix that !
