Last 4 times I did my motor mounts on my 2wd coil spring, I dropped the entire lower arm and weaseled the spring back in. took forever.

Is there a particular spring compressor that is relatively safe that you gurus have used for this? I'm heading in to this soon and want to make it as easy on my aging body as possible.

Thanks

Jim, the coil spring compressor I have used is for my 69 Mustang, you remove the shock & the spring compressor fits inside the spring. It has 2 sleeves on the threaded rod with 2 curved pieces attached to the sleeves that go over the coil on top & under the coil on the bottom. Then you tighten the threaded rod pulling the  sleeve on the bottom up compressing the spring. Here is a link to one similar to the one I have.
