The expo I recently dismantled had a single leaf. One of my Rangers has either single or 2 can't remember. Both my 4WD's have 3.

I recently bought a used ranger spring set to replace one of my 4WD's failing springs... it has 4 leafs.

What was the reason and what is the difference? Besides the obvious, the amount of leafs.

Just the single leaf or 1+overload?
Payload rating differss
2+1 pack is 1100lbs per spring iirc
3+1 pack is 1200lbs per spring
And 4+1 pack 1750lbs per spring

I don't know about 1+1.
The bigger packs rated for more weight will be stiffer obviously

Tow rating varies though.

Also engine type, single/extended cab, 2x4 or 4x4, short bed/longbed, Tow Package, trim level, options etc... all change the weight/usage of the truck itself so need different springs I'm guessing.
