It's a 93 4.0 v6 with a 5 speed tranny, but any gear I switch to acts like neutral, there's no strange sounds and no movement what so ever.

Hi and welcome!

Is it a 4WD? If so I would suspect the transfer case.

Look under it and have someone else look under it while you are in gear with clutch out to see if maybe you dropped the driveshaft.

It could be SO MANY THINGS seriously. Start with the visual inspection, see if anything looks out of place before we go through the list of things it could be.

Yeah its 4wd. I thought it was the transfer case motor but I just replaced it with no improvement, and nothing looks wrong with the driveshafts.

This sucks but you are probably going to have to drop the trans.

There should be an access cover where you could have someone look in while you are actuating the clutch to see if maybe the slave cyl. is stuck disengaged. Would be a freak problem but.. Does the clutch feel normal?

I would try to drop the transfer case first (if facing dropping the trans) and see if the front shaft turns the back shaft.

I'll try to contact a few members that haven't been here in a while that know the inside of that trans better than I do, it is hard to imagine it doesn't work if the clutch feels like it did, if the shifter feels like it is going in to the gears, if everything sounds normal and you did not hear any kind of bad popping or grinding noise prior to this happening.

Any fluid in the clutch master reservoir or is it dry?
remove the clutch inspection cover and look see if the clutch pressure plate is releasing when you depress the pedal, see if the slave cylinder is working
You should remove your shift motor and physically shift the transfer case into 4 hi just for testing

Let us know what you find
