Hello,
I am looking for a good transmission for my latest project.
I've searched the Web and came up with a few Shops, the one that stood out was "PerformaBuilt Transmissions" and their Heavy Hauler AOD.

Does anyone know anything about this shop ?

I read their Web Site, their rebuild process seems solid, a list of the new parts sounds good.
They address the pressure problems the AOD used to have by modifying the unit to increase pressure and the biggy, they use a 2" wide OD Band, wider than OEM Units.

Anyone have any comments please post.

Well don't know about them, but this place used to get a bad rap but have straightened up their game:

https://www.jasperengines.com/performance-transmissions

They also bought the entire array of companies last year in the Diesel Injection Service group, the place I work being one of them.

We have a branch in fontana california, I forgot where you live but your location says california....

Problem is employees get decent prices and unfortunately there is no way to pass it on the rules are written that way. I would have to buy your truck, put it in my name, buy the transmission, then sell the truck back to you LOL.

I'm seriously considering getting a motor from them instead of spending my time on it.

Good thing about Jasper is they are SO large they build thousands of these things a year and have encountered every problem that exists by now, even the little annoying ones. Warranty is good too, and you know someone that works there.

From what is posted on their Site and on the LS1 Site, their Gods in the industry, and have been in business since 2006; but as I have said, there has to be one person that had a problem and I don't see any bad reviews so far.

It can be a good thing, they may well be the best of the best, but even I get a complaint once in a while. LoL !

From their Site I see they do a lot of work to the Heavy Hauler Trans they sell, but at $3200 they are one of the most expensive; I don't mind that IF theybackwhat they sell and they are as good as is said !

TCI is getting too many complaint, small ones but enough to call attention to problems that may be brewing.

Thanks for the comeback.

well usually if I have a trans issue I take it back and Brett makes it right....so it is possible that no bad reviews are found because they take care of their people!
We all know you cant be in the auto transmission game and not have call backs...it's what you do with them that = online reviews
You know people love to bitch and gripe, so if there was disgruntled customers you would hear about it
You wont find much dirt online about Autofab or Camburg either........just sayin
Get the credit cards out!

Waiting to buy all the pieces, just waiting for the Frame to be confirmed... without the stretched EB Frame there may not be a project.

You're right about how the problems are handled makes the difference.

I will be looking for info on this Shop up till I order, then I switch to hoping.
